Two experienced judges, Jojo Teri and Shpec, were recently promoted to Head Judge within the Club Penguin Army Judges organization. Let us understand more about their promotion and how they achieved the role.
Formation of cpaj
Club Penguin Army Judges was founded on February 23, 2022. Before the formation of CPAJ and Club Penguin Armies, there were other organizations in the community. Between 2020 and 2022, groups such as Club Penguin Army Hub and Club Penguin Army Network arose and dissolved. Despite not lasting as long as Club Penguin Army Central, the organizations created a significant split. The barrier divided not just troops by leagues but also reporters and judges. It was only with CPAJ’s rise that the community saw the first independent judging organization take form.
JOJO TErI’S JOURNEY
Jojo Teri joined Club Penguin Army Judges at the end of 2022. As a judge, he gained a great deal of knowledge and experience. He is currently involved with the People’s Imperial Confederation as a leader, and is a very experienced and skilled teacher. Also, he encouraged several judges-in-training to communicate and work hard. In addition, in 2024, Jojo judged almost 40 battles, and he has judged nine tournaments in total, including, Legends Cup XIV, March Madness IX, AUSIA Arena, and others.
SHPEc’S JOURNEY
Shpec, on the other hand, joined Club Penguin Army Judges in late 2022. He is also highly skilled and received criticism from Head Judges last year, which he learned a lot from. He has no other roles in the community and is currently affiliated with the Rebel Penguin Federation. Shpec is also an excellent teacher who encouraged his fellow judges to speak out and engage in battles and tournaments. Shpec has accepted 70+ battles and judged up to 11 tournaments, including New Year Bonanza, and Trick or Treat Trials, among others.
Moreover, Club Penguin Armies approached the new head judges to interview them and ask about their experiences so far.
How do you feel after being promoted to Head Judge?
Jojo Teri: It feels good. I’m glad that my efforts as a judge got recognized by both the other hjs and the army leaders. It feels to me like a very important and respected position for someone to hold.
Shpec: I feel good about it.
Was it your wish to be a Head Judge one day?
Jojo Teri: Yes, over the last few months it was one of my ambitions in the back of my brain. It always seemed to me an interesting role in CPA.
Shpec: Not a wish or anything, just was going on with my stuff
Will you be able to carry your army duties with your Head Judge duties?
Jojo Teri: I am confident that the HJ position won’t affect my army-leading duties. I’m sure I will be able to balance the time I put in either and be a productive leading member of both PIC and CPAJ.
Shpec: Considering I’m not doing anything in RPF rn, I’d say I can do both
What are your goals after being chosen as head judge?
Jojo Teri: My goal is to ensure all battles are held normally with enough judges who are all experienced/well-trained. I also want to increase the size of the staff team. Maybe some other internal small changes as well & more things to come.
Shpec: Haven’t thought about it tbh, just keep it going and if there’s anything the community needs/wants, find a way to do what’s required so that hopefully people are satisfied.
Is there anything you would like to say to your fellow judges and the army community?
Jojo Teri: To the judges: Thanks to everyone who has judged any battle lately, your efforts are vital to CPAJ and help it keep going!
Shpec: pee pee poo poo
Both judges are pleased with their promotion and intend to serve the community to the best of their abilities. Furthermore, we wish them well on their voyage and hope that they can carry out both army and judging tasks simultaneously. Will they be good Head Judges? Will they carry out both of their responsibilities together? How long will they continue on their journey?
