Over the past few years, June has become important to the Club Penguin army community as it marks Pride Month. In 2021, Army Legend, Max, found a way to celebrate diversity within the entire army community. This was extremely important to Max because originally he wanted to celebrate the diversity of the Army of Club Penguin soldiers and those involved in the LGBTQIA+ community. However, Max’s ultimate goal was to involve the entire army community in supporting all members of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Looking back at the first official Pride Month parade in 2021, the Clovers dedicated an entire week to celebrate it. The Clovers concluded their Pride Week events by involving the whole army community on June 5, 2021. Additionally, for the first time, the Shamrock Bulletin collaborated with Club Penguin Army HQ and Club Penguin Army Hub administrators to host a community-wide Pride Parade for the entire army community.

The event held significance for the entire community. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, this led to the cancellation of most celebrations from 2020 to 2021 because of social distancing measures. The main goal was to have those who felt comfortable attend and support the event, hoping to put aside army differences and come together to celebrate love in all its forms.

When the day finally arrived on June 5, 2021, there were 10 armies involved. The armies that participated in the Pride Parade event were, ACP, Help Force, Doritos of Club Penguin, Fire Warriors, Golden Troops, People’s Imperial Confederation, Rebel Penguin Federation, Red Ravager, Silver Empire, and the Water Vikings. The army community decided to use the CPPS Club Penguin Rewritten. With all the armies celebrating, they brought the Ascent server to three bars. The event became so popular that several CPR moderators joined the parade to show their support.

During the parade, all army members wore colorful outfits to show support. Army leaders were responsible for leading the parade by directing tactics and formations for everyone to follow. At the end of the Pride Parade, the goal of bringing the entire community together despite their army differences ended up being successful.

Since 2021, the army community has continued to host an annual Pride Parade. For instance, in 2023, Club Penguin Armies hosted a Pride Parade event on the Club Penguin Army Battleground. Although the event fell during the World War IX conflict, various armies agreed to a ceasefire on the day of the parade. Over nine armies joined the festivities, with more than 83 participants taking part.

Community Pride Parade 2023

As shown, Pride Month has become a huge event within the army community. Thanks to Max and the administrators of CPAHQ and CPAH, the event has been successful from the start and continues to garner respect throughout the years. The idea that the entire army community, which is always hectic and diverse, can come together to celebrate love in all forms is truly remarkable. How are you planning on celebrating Pride Month this year? Is there anything you’d like to see your army or the community do in preparation for the festivities?
