Welcome to the fifth edition of Army Rivalries, the column in which we explore the various conflicts of armies. In this edition, we will look at the conflict between Help Force and Silver Empire.

The Help Force and the Silver Empire had tensions brewing under the surface that were not apparent until the sudden declaration of war on April 22nd, 2021. In the declaration post, HF accused SE of troop-stealing and trash-talking them in their server. Furthermore, the actions of Silver Empire’s 3ic Comedy were the focus of the declaration. The first battle took place on April 23rd, 2021, for the conflict would get the name of Silver Rush War. The name was coined by the Help Force’s leadership.
At the time, HF had a higher rank in the Top Ten than SE. This made it extremely likely the war would be one-sided. However, with the war being mapless, both sides could have claimed victory regardless of who won the battles. Despite these factors, the Silver Rush War ended with a war score of 6-0-0 with Help Force emerging as the victors. The Empire did not show up at any of the battles after nine days of fighting.
At the same time, the Red Ravagers‘ declaration of war against SE on April 23rd, 2021, also resulted in the army no-showing and the Red Ravagers emerging victorious. The importance of this war would become apparent much later in the year. They justified their absence at the battles because the organization they were a part of, Club Penguin Army Network, had not released a map yet.

First Battle of the Silver Rush War
Six months later, a map had been released by CPAN and Silver Empire took advantage of this development by declaring war on Help Force on October 9th, 2021. The conflict began as Help Force was invading Silver Empire’s land without a formal declaration of war and the army felt there were bigger armies HF could have invaded instead. The first invasion happened two days later, of the Help Force server of Ice Cream. The invasion ended in an HF victory, with the army successfully defending their territory. Simultaneously, the Help Force responded with their own declaration of war that accused Silver Empire of multilogging and provided evidence that proved their allegations true with a formal statement issued by Club Penguin Army Headquarters.

Despite the controversy, the war continued with the Silver Empire forming the Western Bloc on October 12th, bringing in the Water Vikings, and the Special Weapons and Tactics. Help Force responded by forming the Vengeance Alliance, with the Army of Club Penguin and RR. Following this, a disagreement over the Silver Empire’s war terms being legitimate led to the Ravagers declaring their own war against the Silver Empire and violating the terms SE had set. However, the war continued with the conflict developed into World War VIII. This war became known as the War of No Judges, given the difficulty of finding unaffiliated judges.
At the same time, another alliance, the Red Dawn Alliance, unofficially joined the war, which included the People’s Imperial Confederation, Templars, and the Dark Vikings. These events officially marked the beginning of World War VIII. The war lasted for about a month. The last battle only happened on November 7th, 2021. The formal end of the war came eight days later. It ended with no official victor, as the participants signed a non-aggression pact (NAP).

CONCLUSION
While the war ended without a formal victor, the treaty signed by both armies had the Empire receiving more territory. The tension between the Help Force and the Silver Empire would end with the shutdown of the latter on May 28th, 2022. SE leadership had trouble balancing real life with the work required of someone higher up in the army food chain. This marked the end of the conflict between the two – unless SE comes back in the future.
One could say HF came out as the victors, with the army holding a massive celebration for its 6th anniversary. Moreover, they also won the AUSIA Arena in the following year against the Water Vikings in a very close battle. What do you think? Do you believe the Help Force was the true winner of the war?
