Elexonck stumbled upon the Rebel Penguin Federation in 2018 and has remained there ever since, showcasing his unwavering loyalty. Given his hard work within the army, he eventually got promoted to Third-in-Command in late 2019. After over a year of even more undeniable dedication, Elexonck attained the leadership position on February 12th, 2021. The commitment and perseverance Elexonck has shown within RPF are clearly evident and truly remarkable.

A month after his induction, Elex saw his army go into the semi-finals of March Madness VI against the Army of Club Penguin. Given several complaints about the battle’s results, the Rebels ultimately lost to the Clovers after a review took place. Following the controversial events of the tournament, the Rebels alongside their allies, the Ice Warriors, with support from other armies such as Fire Warriors and Help Force, decided to establish a new organization called Club Penguin Army Network, marking a split in the community.

Moreover, throughout July of 2021, the Rebels managed to claim the top position every week. This milestone surely was only the beginning of the countless successes Elexonck achieved throughout his career. In the following month, the eleventh iteration of the prestigious Legends Cup was held. After an intense battle against the Helpers, maxing more than 150, the Rebels secured their victory, marking RPF’s fifth LC victory and the first tournament win under Elex’s leadership.

With the Holiday season approaching, Christmas Chaos XI was also on the way. And it could not have turned out to be different: the Rebels took home another victory, beating the Ice Warriors in the Finals. This was their second victory in a row in a Christmas Chaos in the Club Penguin Pirate Server era. The first year of Elexonck’s leadership proved to be undoubtedly successful, winning every major tournament his army took part in. With only 1 point of difference from the first place, the Rebels ended the year as the top second army of 2021.

The Rebel Penguin Federation entered in 2022 keeping the momentum pumping up within their army. They once again were victorious in another tournament. This time, they won AUSIA Arena: Winter Edition, proving themselves to also be a powerhouse in the often overlooked AUSIA division. Later in March, the Rebels would face off against IW in the semi-final round of March Madness VII. However, this time, they were not successful. Nonetheless, this loss did not hinder their progress later in the year.

On May 8th, the Rebels would see the announcement of a third leader. Thus, Elexonck wholeheartedly introduced Link3000 as the 113th Rebel Commander. The Rebels were undoubtedly excited to see what the future would hold for this duo.

Shortly following the release of the Club Penguin Armies server map, the Templars declared war on the RPF. In a very controversial declaration, the Knights mentioned the Rebels’ refusal to have practice battles, trash-talking, and usage of Club Penguin Legacy which was surrounded by serious allegations of criminal actions. Starting on July 29th and ending on August 2nd, this short-lived war marked the first RPF war victory under Elex’s leadership.

“Summer Sovereignty War”

On August 8th, former Rebel Commander F6sixer announced his retirement from the army, now leaving Elexonck and Link free to prove themselves as the former leader went away. In October, a delayed Legends Cup XII took place. Surprisingly, the Rebels failed to go to the finals, as the Templars emerged victorious in the semi-finals, marking their dominance over that year. Nevertheless, the scenario would not remain like that for the next months.

With another Winter season approaching the community, as was the traditional Christmas Chaos tournament. On December 17th, the final round of the Christmas Chaos XII took place between the Templars and the Rebel Penguin Federation. Successfully avenging the semifinals of LCXII, the Rebels took home their third consecutive CC title. As a result of the Legends Inductions of 2022, Elexonck’s noteworthy accomplishments and hard work did not go unnoticed. The Rebel Commander was, therefore, inducted as Army Legend.

Following quickly into February 2023, the community witnessed the Rebels get dragged into a war against the Special Weapons and Tactics. The Agents stated their will to compete against the best army and test their skills. However, SWAT witnessed their conflict transform into consecutive victories for the Rebels. In a not-so-surprising outcome, the Rebels ended up being the victorious army after 10 battles and 10 victories.

As the trumpets of March Madness VIII began to sound, the Rebels also started to prepare for the tournament. Even though the date of April 1st is recognized as the ‘April Fools’, it was no lie that the Rebel Penguin Federation won the tournament against the Help Force. This marked the fifth trophy under Elexonck’s belt – and the last one the Rebels would attain in a major tournament.

Later in June, the community would witness another World War taking place. Forming the Blue Sunset Alliance alongside the Elite Guardians and the Water Vikings, they declared war on ACP. Being welcomed in the Sapphire Concordat, the Clovers forged an alliance with SWAT, TCP, Napalm Corps, and the People’s Imperial Confederation. Even though outnumbered, the BSA managed to score 32 victories against the opposing alliance, in what was regarded as a tactical victory. Nonetheless, the conflict concluded with no official victor recognized.

March Madness VIII Finals – RPF vs. HF

Later in the year, the Rebels would not see themselves engaged in any other conflict. As for tournaments, RPF was able to reach the Legends Cup XIII Finals. Even though not successful this time, they managed to take the Clovers to overtime despite a size disadvantage of 20+. The Rebels also partook in Double Deck the Halls II, a tournament hosted by the Shamrock Bulletin. They ended up being victorious alongside their former allies Coup Crusaders.

In an attempt to catch their fourth consecutive victory in a Christmas Chaos, the Rebels defeated the Templars in the quarter-finals of Christmas Chaos XIII. However, they were not able to beat the Elite Guardians in the next round, losing in a surprising 3-0. Most recently, the Rebel Penguin Federation went into the finals of New Year Bonanza 2024, although not being able to defeat the Clovers.

With an amazing and breathtaking amount of success under his belt, Elexonck announced his retirement from the army’s leadership on February 25th. Furthermore, former Rebel Commander Cosmo announced his induction as RPF Legend minutes after his retirement. Undoubtedly, Elex’s dedication and undeniable loyalty to his army warranted his well-deserved induction.

In order to understand the reasons behind his retirement, Club Penguin Armies sat down with Elexonck.

Many wonder whether Elexonck is a human being or an artificial intelligence. What are you? What drove you to lead the Rebels for almost three years straight?

Haha, I am definitely somewhere between human and some kind of robot. I like a good routine that’s for sure. I guess emotional attachment and the power of my turbo autism kept me going through the years.

Given your story in RPF is extensive, would it be possible to point out your favorite memories and moments in the army?

Obviously some of my favourite memories are the tournament wins and successful war battles I’ve been around for, but aside from that I have many amazing memories of just truly fun moments or jokes in RPF. Some of the best memories I have are of some random meme taking over the server or us having a silly event.

Your retirement took the community by shock. What circumstances led to it?

Honestly I’ve been there so long I’m sure it wasn’t that huge of a shock that I’d eventually want to retire. I feel like RPF is in a positive place right now and I have huge faith in the leaders I’ve left behind. As well as that, I just don’t have as much time anymore as I did when I was a student. I felt like it was time for me to go.

What are your expectations for RPF after your retirement? Do you think it will impact the army?

I believe that RPF has everything it needs to succeed going forward. The staff are very capable and the community is strong.

Elexonck, you won tournaments and wars, were inducted as army legend, and are now RPF Legend. Did you wish to achieve anything else during your time as a leader?

I honestly can’t think of anything else I’d have wanted out of my time as leader.

Any final words or advice that you would like to give to RPF’s staff team and the army at large? Will you still be around CPA?

I plan to stay as a RPF Advisor for as long as the current leadership would like me to. Beyond that, I’ll pop in and out, but my time being active in CPA has come to an end.

Sticking to the same army for more than six years is undoubtedly no easy task. However, Elexonck’s work for all those years highlighted his loyalty. We, at Club Penguin Armies, wish Elex the very best of luck in his future endeavors. It seems he is confident that the Rebels will continue their successful journey this year. Now, it is up to Link and the recently-inducted Gabgeirl to lead the Rebels. Do you think the Rebels will win a tournament this year?
