KLONDIKE, CP Army Headquarters – A little over a month since its opening, CPA Battleground experiences crashes amidst battles. The latest was the practice battle between the Water Vikings and Ice Warriors.
Following the shut down of Club Penguin Rewritten, CPA Battleground has become a safe haven for the community. It is one of the safest private servers and has item adding features making themed events more accessible. Unfortunately, the game has suffered from server issues during battles.
The first roadblock was in a battle between Help Force and the Rebel Penguin Federation on April 30th, 2022. The Scavenger Challenge hosted by CP Army HQ experienced the same difficulties between the Templars and Water Vikings. The Scavenger Challenge was the first community event for the CP Army Battleground era thus generating controversy and conversation on the future state of the large scale battles.

Once again, on May 30th, 2022, server issues were on display during a practice battle between the Ice Warriors and Water Vikings. Connection errors began to hit within the first room: the Docks. Nevertheless, the armies were able to proceed to battle in another room. Due to relatively similar size there was no clear victor between the blue allies.

CP Army HQ reached out to Water Vikings’ leader Aaronstone for a statement on their experience during the battle.
Aaronstone: I thought we did a lot better in the second room [Ice Berg]. It seemed people had better connectivity then. [And] yes[,] this is the second time we’ve had this happen. However, Super is quite close with people in WV including me and I know he’s busy. The CPAB game is a work in progress and stuff still needs to be worked out so we will be patient and I am sure the issue will be fixed in the future.
It goes without saying that the community as a whole should be tremendously thankful that we even have such an amazing private server to begin with. As we get closer to summer, and the inevitable Legends Cup, only time will tell if connection issues will continue to take place.
