TOBOGGAN, Silver Empire’s Capital – Following the war with the Help Force, the Silver Empire welcomes a new face into its leadership, Df44. What led to this sudden decision, and how will the army fare?
Df44 joined Club Penguin Armies in October 2020 as a recruit for the Water Vikings. He eventually reached the rank of Third in Command, before retiring in June of this year to revive the Smart Penguins. There, alongside Superhero he led the army to great heights, even participating in the prestigious Legends Cup. The army also waged war on the Golden Troops, before shutting down in September of this year.

After the Smart Penguins shut down, Df joined the Silver Empire as a Second in Command. A month after joining the Silver Empire, they waged war on the Help Force, which can be read about in a post here. Df worked hard for the army, dedicating a lot of time and effort, and due to this, he was promoted to Silver Commander.

To learn more about his promotion, we sat down with Df for a quick interview.
What were your first thoughts and feelings when you found out you got promoted?
I only found out when I woke up and everyone was saying congratulations hahah. But when I realised I had been promoted I was happy and it definitely felt good. It’s not my first time leading an army but it is definitely a new and good experience to lead the Silver Empire.
Do you have any goals you want to accomplish?
SE collectively has already accomplished a lot, namely obtaining major army status in less than one year and winning important battles in tournaments. However, I feel like there is a lot more to accomplish. Personally, I’d like to help SE regaining the major army status and to maintain the fun environment we always have in the server. More than an army, we are a friendly community and that’s the best part of being there.
Do you have a plan on how you wanna accomplish those goals?
People usually tend to overthink on how to reach success in an army. For me, it can be as simple as keeping troops engaged, have a friendly community and, of course, recruit. Of course all of those things combined require a lot of work, but in SE we have an amazing, united, and hardworking staff team that will, without any doubt, help the army reach those goals.
Do you have anything else you would like to add?
People should stop taking a MMO penguin game from 2005 way too seriously. As most of us, I joined this community due to Club Penguin nostalgia, with the goal of having fun within it, not to turn it into a priority in my life. To finish and as a piece of general advice, don’t believe in everything you’re told, and either in real life or online try to always check the facts before speaking or take action.
