KLONDIKE, CP Army Headquarters- Four long-time veterans have band together to create what some expect to be the most promising new army: the Spartans.

The Spartans were founded on June 1st, 2021.  However, their roots trace all the way back to May 27th, 2020. MaximeT9 left the Doritos of Club Penguin to focus on Spartans Gaming, a community cofounded by Maxime and Mustapha10 with a broader focus than Club Penguin.  Over time, the community ballooned.  Maxime would go on to write at Club Penguin Army Politics and Philosophy, making contact with Lord Pain.  This culminated in the opening of the Spartans Club Penguin division.

The news spread quickly throughout the community due to the magnitude of those involved.  Lord Pain has been active within the community for some time, most known for his remarks against the Army of Club Penguin (more info can be found HERE).  Mustapha, most known for his longstanding career with the Doritos, was leading DCP while MaximeT9 was a 2nd in Command.  Maxime left the army after Mustapha was removed from power.  Roberto, on the other hand, has only recently returned to the community.  The legend made his mark with the Light Troops, leading them to victory in multiple wars.

Upon it’s opening, Lord Pain stated that the Spartans will be his last destination in the community in a post that can be read HERE.  He describes the Spartans as an army where he will pass down all his knowledge of armies to the troops.  Mustapha affirms this statement in a post on the official Spartans website:

A growing interest in creating a Club Penguin Army division within the Spartans Gaming community began to emerge as friends from MaximeT9 and I’s former communities began to talk of returning along with the fact that myself and MaximeT9 were both seeing the major flaws in how Club Penguin Armies ran, we thought we could do it better – our own way. The people you see leading the Spartans today have been around and are familiar with the modern CPA community. Each individual leading has single handedly created legacies of their own; they have built their own empires and have become legendary in their own right. Together, we can adapt to anything and truly create something unlike we’ve never before imagined.

Earlier today, the Spartans held their opening event.  With a Discord server containing over 6,000 members, expectations for the parade were high.  Over 30 troops attended the event.  A respectable size, by all means.

CPAHQ reached out to Lord Pain to talk about the opening event and the future of the Spartans.

With your first event in the books, how do you think the Spartans did?

I said I expected 30-50+ we hit 30, tactics were messy at times, good at times, communication needs work. We are running a CP Army off a gaming server this is the first time thats being done. I think our issue lies in getting people on the event chat and we will decide how to fix that issue.

Do you think the army will be able to consistently stay in that 30-50 range?

Every army has a first event and in those first events flaws are identified, conversations about them happen after, we figure out how to fix them and improve. We will aim for those sizes and beyond that naturally and we will stay consistent.

What can the community expect from the Spartans in the future?

RPF was the first army to revolutionize being more than an army they became a community. We are the next ones to revolutionize armies and all of the promises the legendary leaders of this army have promised will be delivered.

Lastly, could you share any of the Spartans’ plans in terms of foreign relations?

We have an interest in being allies with the Ice Warriors and RPF, both of which we are reaching out to. Other than that we are already allies with SWAT.

With summer approaching, the time is certainly right for a new army to take the community by storm.  The Spartans have gotten off to a good start, but only time will tell how long they can sustain good results.  Lord Pain, Maxime, Mustapha, and Roberto seem to be poised to do so.
