As preparation for the Legends Cup XVI, the Rebel Penguin Federation and the Water Vikings engaged in a highly fascinating practice battle. Throughout the course of the battle, RPF displayed immense control. The battle concluded with one room tied, and two rooms in favor of RPF.
Room 1 – Snow Forts [TIE]
The opening room, being snow forts, begins with Water Vikings entering first and immediately forming a plus, while the Rebel Penguin Federation was not close behind and formed a Trident. Early sizes leaned towards the Rebel Penguin Federation being 49-37. But despite that, the Vikings appeared larger. Additionally, Water Vikings were also fast. However, the Rebel Penguin Federation had fewer visible AFK’s than Water Vikings. Concurrently, four minutes in, the Vikings made a triangle with a vertical, while the Rebels made a triangle too, but without a vertical.

Six minutes in, the Water Vikings fell to 34, but the fight was pretty close up until then and was in favor of the Vikings. Subsequently, the Rebels made a right-angled triangle while the Vikings made an arrow, but the judges weren’t sure if that was even an arrow. Both were creative and looked good. At this part of the battle, the Rebel Penguin Federation put their size to good use. Ultimately, at the end of the room, both armies put their size to good use and ended up in a tie.

Room 2 – Inside mine (Rebel Penguin Federation)
RPF entered the room first, attendance being at the moment 49 – 30 in the Rebels’ favour. The room started with RPF making an umbrella formation while the water vikings formed an. Both formations looked creative and good. While both armies were similar in speed and completeness, four minutes in room two, RPF made an arrow formation, while the Vikings formation was so covered that the judges couldn’t see them.

After trading tactics for a while, the Rebels were absolutely covering the Vikings. Both formations in room two, RPF made a good underlined V, while WV made an X formation. Both formations were nicely made, but thanks to the size difference, which was 17 more troops for RPF. The Rebels easily took this room thanks to size and formations.

Room 3 – Iceberg [Rebel PENGUIN FEDERATION]
The Rebels entered the iceberg first, taking a clean surround of the room. Water Vikings made a V-form with an underline going to the side of the berg. The Rebels looked clearly larger here, while the sizes were 48 – 31 in the Rebels’ favour. Meanwhile, the right-hand side of WV’s underline of their form was pretty poor. Three Minutes into the room, RPF raked while WV countered with a bomb. RPF made an underline plus after while WV made a triangle. The Rebels were much more visible than the Vikings and also appeared larger. Throughout the formations shown during the rest of the room, RPF dominated in covering and choosing better forms than WV.

Seven minutes into the room, the Rebels made a Z while the Vikings made a trident. Both formations were pretty clean, but the Rebels did have an edge in those last minutes.

The performance of this room demonstrated RPF’s capacity to maintain consistency throughout the duration of the battle, thereby securing their victory in this room and practice battle against Water Vikings.
Throughout the course of this practice battle, Rebel Penguin Federation maintained their size, remained dominant with their formations, and covered Water Vikings throughout the course of the battle. Though the battle came in RPF’s favor, Water Vikings showed moments of resistance and improvement as the battle progressed. Vikings’ victory wasn’t impossible; if only they were faster and had taken more dominant formations.
