Over the past few days, the Small/Medium army scene has witnessed the return of one of its former top contenders, the Scarlet Republic. Today, we will discuss the army’s history and delve into its revival.

Scarlet Startup
The Scarlet Republic were founded by long-time army veterans, and former Army of Club Penguin members Ghostt and Imvge. From their conception, they were known as a strong force, maxing 21 at their opening event. Following their registration in January, they engaged in a war with the Rebel Penguin Federation, which SR surrendered before any battles occurred. In March, the army would welcome Amira as their newest leader, before allying with the Elite Guardians. This would lead to a few alliances, including with armies such as the Aliens and the Penguins of Agartha.
Unfortunately, the army had stagnated by the time September came. Former Advisor turned leader, Annie, would step away from the army due to personal commitments. Following her retirement, the army would fall greatly in the Top Ten, and many weeks would fail to make an appearance. This resulted in the army going on hiatus on October 18. Not all was negative within SR, as alongside the announcement of the hiatus, Riri was announced as the newest leader.
Scarlet Return
On December 9, Ghostt would announce the return of the Republic, to the surprise of many. Following just under two months of inactivity, the army’s return is set to be an interesting spectacle. With Ghostt and Riri at the helm, the army is in capable hands, with their revival event scheduled for December 11. With the leadership and troops alike both eager to get back to their activities, many are wondering if this generation will hold a flame to its predecessor.
To find out more about the revival of the Scarlet Republic, Club Penguin Armies contacted Ghostt for an exclusive interview.
I. Why did Scarlet Republic decide to return now, during the peak of the Holidays?
II. Very interesting, maintaining interest can be very difficult. You mention a lack of support from your staff. Has there been a natural revitalisation, or what measures have you and your fellow leaders taken to boost activity?
Well we spent a lot of the end of our first Generation getting things ready for what I was going to call “Scarlet Republic 2.0” but plans fell through. We saw a lack of members attending our events and we were barely hosting 1-2 events per week consistently. So we are just hoping that all the work we put in during the past few months is able to help us for our 2nd Generation.
III. Well, hopefully your work pays off; it’s evident you’re determined and willing to put in effort, which is a positive sign. What do you foresee in the army’s future? What short and long-term goals do you have? Any plans in specific?
IV. Those are very modest aspirations, especially considering the peaks of your army previously. You say you want to show your strength and engage in wars, do you have any potential targets, per se?
Evidently, the future is bright for the Scarlet Republic, with many plans on the horizon; who knows what the future holds for them. Whilst their first generation was cut short, we are sure their second will be more fruitful. But what do you think of this revival? How will this leadership dynamic pan out? Who can we expect to see SR go to war with?
