On August 2, the Void Troops surprisingly declared war on the Templars of Club Penguin. On the surface, it seems there is a lot of tension behind this war. Let us examine why VT decided to initiate war, and how TCP wishes to respond.

Recently, Club Penguin Armies has been very thrilling. As time goes on, it seems there is some new action unfolding every week. From Around the World Cup II, to Summer Olympics, and now Legends Cup XV, armies have had their hands full for quite a while. Adding on to these tournaments, there is an army that is seeking to incite some more mayhem.
Labeled as the War of the Divine Reckoning, the Void Troops have officially severed their alliance with the Templars of Club Penguin and are consequently taking them to the battlefield. Before this, the two armies had been allies ever since VT joined the league, allying only 5 days after their opening event on April 27. In their declaration post, VT explicitly feels that TCP has betrayed them, slandered the VT name, and has pretended to be friends. At the time of writing, the war is already underway, with some battles already having taken place.

Currently, the Void Troops seem to have the Templars on the ropes. In the lead with 4 wins and 1 loss, the Troops are on an active win streak of 3. However, the last two confrontations have been very close. In those battles, the Void Troops were victorious by only one room. This could be a sign that the Templars are very close to finding their winning formula, and may only be a matter of time before they bounce back.

Wanting to hear from both sides of this conflict, Club Penguin Armies reached out to some leaders from each army. With the Void Troops, Logical and Ugly were interviewed. To represent Templars, CPA had contacted Moon, SirNick, and Echo. The only one to respond was Moon.

As the War of the Divine Reckoning continues to unfold, all eyes are on the Void Troops and Templars. Fighting for respect and control, the two armies are certainly giving it everything they’ve got. With a firm lead, the Void Troops have the momentum needed to eventually close out this war. Despite that, though, the Templars are showing key signs of resurgence and may flip the tide any second. This war is far from over, and both armies still have a lot of battles to look forward to. Who do you think will win this war? Will the Void Troops maintain their edge, or can the Templars stage a comeback? Do you think this will end in peace or anarchy?
