Generation XXVI

This story begins during Generation XXVI of the Rebel Penguin Federation. Lasting from February 2020 to June 2020, this generation was a grand one and is now recognized as a golden age of RPF. Regularly averaging sizes of 100, the Rebels were experiencing their most populous era yet. Generation XXVI would even go on to break the Federation’s max size record, holding 178 troops at a single event. In addition to record-breaking sizes, this era of the Rebels also scored a massive tournament win.

Legends Cup X was on the horizon, and this particular generation of RPF was tasked with a very stressful goal going into it: secure the trophy and become back-to-back champions. Legends Cup IX proved to be very successful for them, with the Rebels defeating the Elite Trackers & Activities with sizes of 80+. Legends Cup X was also the first Legends Cup on the newest CPPS, Club Penguin Online. All of this put a lot on the line for Generation XXVI in the tournament, but the pressure did not get to them one bit. In June 2020, the tenth annual Legends Cup rolled around, and the Rebels were ready to win it all.

Starting with sizes of 90 in the quarterfinals, the Rebels handled their competition effortlessly. Advancing to the semifinals, the Rebels increased their intensity significantly. Now set to face the formidable Ice Warriors, Generation XXVI continued its legendary march through the bracket. In this battle, the Federation brought out 162 troops, effortlessly winning. RPF had found themselves in the finals and one battle away from finally accomplishing their goals. Achieving a victory could set up future generations of the Federation to three-peat the Legends Cup, a championship accomplishment only for the most dominant of teams. Faced against Help Force in the finals, RPF had made it look easy. In a clean 3-0 sweep with a 155 troop max, Generation XXVI undeniably ended in pure excellence.

RISING TO THE TOP

Hailing from this historic era is Link3000. Emerging from a time of glory, it’s no surprise that Link would eventually grow to be one of RPF’s most iconic leaders. Link has been exposed to the highest standards of winning from the beginning, and it evidently shows. Following Link’s first year within RPF, he rose to Second in Command and showed exceptional leadership skills early. Fast forward to May 2022, and Link earns his spot as an official leader with the title of Rebel Commander. It may have been one of RPF’s best decisions, as Link would go on to prove very well that he knows how to succeed. Under Link’s leadership, the Rebel Penguin Federation would win multiple wars and various famed tournaments like Christmas Chaos XII & XIV, March Madness VIII, and AUSIA Arena: Winter Edition. On top of this, Link also won Best Major Army Leader in 2024.

Link had wasted no time reproducing that same winning formula he had seen out of Generation XXVI. From his start in RPF to now, Link has only ever seen victory. For all his contributions, Link was also inducted as Major Army Legend. Wanting to learn about the esteemed leader, Club Penguin Armies reached out to Link for an exclusive interview.

RPF is one of the most historic armies in the community. How does it feel to be a part of their Hall of Fame?

It’s an incredible honour, especially seeing some of the names that hold the same titles. Knowing how influential they were to RPF and finding out my accomplishments were enough to put me in a similar position, it is a privilege

Did you join the Federation with Hall of Fame ambitions?

Not at all lmao. I was convinced I was not even going to apply for staff in training and convinced I would not make it to HCOM once I made it to staff. Hall of Fame was something that was never on my mind.

Do you think there was any specific moment or contribution that secured your spot?

I think logically, a lot of the tournament wins and war wins definitely helped. I’d like to think that my dedication to the army contributed as well, despite mistakes I’ve made along the way.

Has your path in RPF come full circle, or is the journey still evolving?

I’m not sure what it would mean for my journey to come full circle to be honest. And maybe this means that it’s still evolving. Id like to think that I still learn new things every day.

Finally, what has been your favorite moment in RPF so far?

Honestly, narrowing it down to 1 might be an impossible feat so I’d like to give a top 3 if that’s okay. Those would be reclaiming Christmas Chaos with a max of 90+, the energy in the server was undeniable and one I hadn’t experienced in a while. Leading my first Olympics Team alongside one of my best friends is something I’ll always cherish, and getting promoted to HCOM since that’s when I think my RPF journey really took off.

Link3000 earned his spot in the Rebel Penguin Federation history books through pure dedication and drive. From a golden age recruit to a leader of champions, his track record speaks for itself. Not only has Link already secured his legacy, but he also continues to push it forward without any signs of slowing down. With Legends Cup XV very close, Link3000 and the Rebel Penguin Federation may have an opportunity to add another Legends trophy to their stack. What do you find most interesting about Link’s journey so far? Do you think RPF and Link can win Legends Cup X?
