PREHISTORY

Edu14463’s journey in Club Penguin Armies originates during Cookky’s time as a moderator in Nachos, when Cookky was a prominent recruiter who would primarily be recruiting Portuguese-speaking recruits, train them efficiently, and later enroll them in the Nachos. Realizing how much this would benefit the army, Cookky contacted Edu sharing his new innovative idea, who at that time was decently seasoned in armies and had previously been a leader in Water Ninjas in 2015. Wasting no time, Edu immediately began working and finished the army website in less than a week. Cookky also contributed by making the army’s coat of arms and the Xat design. However, when they presented their idea to the current Nachos leadership, it was rejected, fearing a rebellion would arise.

During the shifts of leadership, Cookky had once again presented this idea to the new leadership. The idea was to bring cultural diversity into the army and no army had ever done that before. The new leaders had appreciated his idea and he made an announcement to the public questioning the presence of a foreign division being under the jurisdiction of the Nachos, making them even more powerful. By the end of January 2017, Cookky was appointed as the Nachos leader. Henceforth, with his new powers, he had instated the Elite Guardians into the Nachos as a colony.

THE START OF THE GUARDIANS

After the dissolution of the original Club Penguin, the Nachos unanimously shutdown with dignity. Cookky had to brainstorm new ideas in order to keep his army afloat. Soon enough, he found a YouTuber by the name of Sempre234, who was extensively promoting a CPPS called Club Penguin Brazil, a fan-made server for Portuguese speakers. Edu14463 was also a moderator in CPBR, which made it even more evident that the Elite Guardians could be a visionary army and rise to power over the years. After making a few more adjustments, Cookky started the promotion of the server alongside Edu and it was a huge success.

The Prosperous Era

Edu quickly joined the leadership and propelled the army to new heights. Under his leadership, the Elite Guardians won their first championship, the Christmas Chaos, which was a huge accomplishment for an army the size of EGCP. They won the Christmas Chaos again in 2018 and constantly had above 45+ sizes in events. Later that year, they finished third in 2018 Legends Cup. The Elite Guardians also participated in World War VII against the Rebel Penguin Federation, which they eventually won. Edu then led the First Great Holy War against Xing’s Templars, successfully counterattacking TCP and invading many of their key locations, including Deep Freeze and North Pole. They also conquered the Templars’ capital, resulting in several months of calm between the two sides.

Following a heated judgment by judges in the first CPPS iteration of Christmas Chaos, the Elite Guardians declared war on the Templars, accusing them of exploiting allies. The Elite Guardians eventually won what became known as the Third Great Holy War. The Elite Guardians controlled the Templars for several weeks. Throughout 2019, the Guardians and Templars engaged in multiple major conflicts, with the Guardians emerging victorious. However, in 2020, the Elite Guardians chose to permanently close due to a major drop in event attendance.

GUARDIANS’ REVIVAL

In May of 2023, The Elite Guardians were revived under the new tetrarchy consisting of Belga, Fitsuki, Joshep and Lass. The grand reopening had well over many prominent people attending for its revival, making it kindling enough for the things the Guardians were about to do that no army has ever done before. Edu had once remarked:

The new generation we have is ready for everything. The last event we held proves it. The new leaders were trained in diplomacy, battle tactics, troops affairs, intel, etc. In short, I am expecting a professional generation that won’t repeat the mistakes we have done in the past, but will tread the same glorious path the previous generation trod.

Under Edu’s guidance, the Elite Guardians were an important player in 2023 and 2024. The Elite Guardians finished third in March Madness IX, where they faced the Army of Club Penguin. They went on to win the inaugural  Around The World Cup, which was an excellent accomplishment for them. In July 2024, the well-known Operation Caesar, a conflict between the Guardians and the Clovers, transformed the community’s tactical brilliance and strategies. It is recognized as one of the most significant wars in CPPS history, with over 100 battles fought. They had formerly been members of the Blue Sunset Alliance during World War IX (previously known as Operation Domination), where they were a valuable asset.

Club Penguin Armies requested a special interview with Edu about his time as a major figure in the Elite Guardians.

I. Looking back, what do you think would have happened to the Elite Guardians if you had never crossed paths with Cookky?

I believe that EGCP would’ve never been the same and be what it is today. The same would apply if I solo led without Cookky or anyone, really. Everyone left their mark on the army in some way or another. EGCP is what it is because of everyone who, with passion, devoted time and efforts to make the army grow and be a heart-warming family

II. What moment do you consider the true turning point for your career in Club Penguin Armies?

I think standing up against corruption in CPOAL was the peak of my career, as well as reaching sizes of 50+ and 60+ with EGCP back in 2018. We dominated diplomatically and were the best army below RPF, even beating them in practice battles (which was a great feat at that time). I’m proud of what my generation has achieved in the army. Being inducted as Major Army Legend was also very rewarding.

III. Many see armies as just games; what convinced you it could be something more meaningful?

Armies are not just a game; there is more to it than just press emotes and quickly send text tactics. Armies are a whole community, a species of underworld in the internet. Here, we meet people from all across the world, become friends with the most unimaginable people, develop leadership skills, practice a foreign language, seek self-improvement. Take the most of CPA while you’re here!

IV. When you look back at your time leading EGCP, do you feel pride, relief, nostalgia or something else entirely?

Pride. Absolute pride. I feel accomplished and happy when I think of EGCP. It’s a legacy I started with my friends when I was 13, and now, look at me. Almost 8 years later and we’re still here. I’m forever grateful for everything we lived together

V. If EGCP never rose to prominence, do you think you would have still found a way to leave your mark in CPA history?

Perhaps, only God knows. Nonetheless, growing your army from the ground and making it a great empire and powerhouse is definitely something I’d have enjoyed more (which I’m happy to have done through EGCP) than joining a well-established army and being an average leader

Edu, with his important history, has paved the way for future generations of leaders and revolutionaries. His journey, from simple friendships to building one of history’s most powerful armies, rekindled the traditional Club Penguin spirit for the current generation. Edu is a humble but exceptional man who was well ahead of his time. What do you think of his achievements? Do you think anyone in the modern-day CPA possesses charisma comparable to his?
