The beginning of aaronstone42

In late 2009, Aaronstone42 learned about the army community via Xat and found the Ice Warriors. He gradually worked his way up to Warrant Officer. However, things took a bad turn when some of his fellow Ice Warriors began to harass him. He confided in Wwebestfan, who told him to leave the Ice Warriors and take a position in the Doritos of Club Penguin.

When Aaronstone42 joined the Doritos, he quickly became active, attending events and making his way up the ranks. Eventually, his hard work paid off, and he attained the position of second-in-command. Later, in 2010, he temporarily served as leader while Brandon was taking a break. Still, unfortunately for Aaron, Brandon returned just two days later, and Aaronstone42 was reverted to a Second-in-Command. Aaronstone42 had remained loyal to the Doritos. Later, by the end of 2012, he was back as the leader of the army. Sadly, Aaron’s time as leader ended too soon. With the Doritos sliding into inactivity, Aaron ultimately had to shut the army down. Mustapha10 and Wwebestfan banned Aarostone after the incident.

After leaving the Doritos, Aaronstone42 became the Second-in-Command of the Underground Mafias Army underneath Coolster114 and Benjarkin. He soon made influential contacts with the likes of Wgfv, Eyes521, and Derek that would shape his journey in the armies. After a successful coup together with Coff Paco and Sarge, Aaron took leadership after Eyes521 returned to UMA. His time in leadership included a brief resurgence of UMA, which finally entered the Club Penguin Army Central Top Ten for the first time. His five-month leadership did provide some stability, but was simultaneously a deeper start to his forthcoming years in army leadership.

Success in the Water Vikings

After departing the Underground Mafias Army, Aaron joined Water Vikings as a third-in-command, and eventually worked his way to leadership through hard work. Alongside Bepboy9, Dashing Snow, and Kingfunks4, he helped WV make its way up the CP Army Central Top Ten.

After the Blue Summer of 2013, Aaron was inducted into the WV Hall of Fame as Greatest Leader. This reflects a different way of recognizing his accomplishments.

In the summer of 2022, Water Vikings achieved second place under the leadership of Aaronstone42. The performance of the WV included many victories, including winning the Second Eagre Foray War against Special Weapons & Tactics. Though narrowly defeated by the Templars in the Legends Cup XII finals, at various points, the WV peaked at sizes over 50. While he retired on October 15, 2022, Aaronstone assisted the army’s war strategy and leadership. The Water Vikings closed just weeks later on November 13, highlighting the importance of Aaronstone in keeping the army afloat. He would be formally honored for his contributions when he received the distinguished title of Army Legend on January 13, 2023, an elite title given to only the most influential members of the community.

To delve deeper into the legacy he forged, Club Penguin Armies spoke with Army Legend Aaronstone42 to reflect on his journey and the impact he made throughout his career.

Reflecting on your extensive career, what motivated you to remain active in the army community over the years?

Honestly the people and the community I’ve helped build has been what’s kept me here over the years. I love interacting with these people on a daily basis and I think the community of your army is its most valuable asset.

The “Blue Summer” of 2013 was a notable period for the Water Vikings. What strategies or decisions do you believe contributed most to that success?

Honestly it beens so long since that era and most of the stuff we had plan wise has been lost to time we used to have an old WordPress site with everything on it but i believe it’s been privated. We just fully dedicated ourselves to the army and the results showed.

According to you, how has the Club Penguin army community evolved since your early days, and what changes have had the most significant impact?

I feel like everything is more structured now some of it for better some of it for worse. Battles can actually have winners now which is a good thing so we now actually have winners for wars and such. Events have changed also which it can be debated if that’s good or bad, I think the lack of an actually army supporting CPPS has affected the quality of some events. The overall political scenes of armies has changed too, instead of just going out to fight there’s a lot of behind closed doors dealings.

What advice would you offer to aspiring leaders within the community who aim to leave a lasting legacy?

I mentioned this in my previous interview during memorable moments but I would say just be yourself and work hard, fully dedicate yourself to what you’re doing and always keep learning how to be the best version of yourself. Go above and beyond in everything you do.

There are outstanding representatives to the armies under Aaronstone42’s long-standing association with the Doritos, UMA, and Water Vikings. Beyond the years he spent working up from a novice recruit to various leadership roles, to leading armies through tournament after tournament and monumental moments in history, Aaronstone42 built his legacy on resilience, leadership, and loyalty. There will be an army history that continues to go on, and Aaron’s incredible story of impact will remain in the context of what it was, and is about, and what he made it through over the past decade of war, friendship, and progress. What, as part of this community, do you think encapsulates a legacy as part of the community, in terms of who and what, who do you think will be written next?
