Meet The Leaders: March Madness X Grand Finals

As March has drawn to a close, it is finally time for the March Madness X Grand Finals! Despite 14 armies entering the competition only 2 armies have shown their might, making it to the final round. In this post, we will meet both armies’ leaders and learn more about their preparations going into this battle.

On March 8, March Madness X finally got underway with the Qualifiers taking place to determine which of the 12 armies would join Doritos of Club Penguin and Army of Club Penguin in the Quarter-Finals. Since then, we have seen numerous clashes between the participants as each of them aimed for glory. However, only one from each bracket could secure a place in the Finals. With that being said, it was all to play for. As the weeks went by, multiple armies progressed and many more were knocked out. Now, only two remain, Help Force and Rebel Penguin Federation.

Rebel Penguin Federation

As we approach the Finals of the tournament, it is time for us to meet the Leaders behind the resilient armies which have made it this far. First up we have the Rebels, an army which is no stranger to tournament finals, achieving many tournament wins throughout its illustrious history. Currently, the army is led by Link3000 and Gabgeirl, both of whom have already brought success to the Rebels.

Link began his journey in the army community by enlisting in RPF in 2020. Within a few months, he earned a Moderator position, and by February 2021, he rose to Third in Command. Earning high positions within RPF is no easy feat, yet Link proved he was more than capable to step into each and every role he was promoted to. In May 2022, he stepped into the role of Rebel Commander and has driven the Rebels forward ever since. Under his leadership, the army has won numerous battles, wars and tournaments. While the Rebels were already an established army within the community, Link has continued to expand its legacy through his accomplishments. The community further recognized Link’s contributions to the army scene and his accomplishments in January of this year by inducting him as an Army Legend.

Gabi joined RPF and the army community September 2021. She quickly found her feet and in September 2022, she earned a spot in its High Command. Before even becoming a Leader, as a HCOM member, she helped the army to achieve glory in the 2023 March Madness as well as the 2022 Christmas Chaos. In February 2024, RPF inducted Gabi as a Rebel Commander. Unsurprisingly, she has led the army to several victories alongside co-leader Link. Gabi earned her first tournament win as a leader in the recent Christmas Chaos tournament (2024). Their success continued with a win in the Candy Crusher Brawl. Now, Gabi, alongside Link, has the chance to secure another win as Rebel Commander. But will they be able to defeat the Help Force?

Help Force

Unlike the Federation, Help Force’s Leadership consists of three people, BEASTO, Diwix, and Thuanthaijo. Each of these leaders have a passion and desire to achieve greatness with Help Force. However, let us take a look at where it all began for them. In January 2021, Beasto joined the Helpers and worked his way up to becoming a Staff member in July. As a Staff member, he witnessed the Help Force enter a new era, seeing the Leadership step down and enter the role of Trustees.

Yet, in December, Beasto chose to step away from the community, only to return in April 2023. Beasto initially rejoined as a staff member but soon worked his way up to the High Command. By April 2024, he earned a promotion to Commander, joining Jo and ROOBOO in the army’s leadership. Since then, he has played a key role in the Helpers’ success being a driving force in their Legends Cup XIV Grand Finals win against the Rebels.

Thuanthaijo began his army career in January 2022 by enlisting in the Help Force. In less than five months, he worked his way up to Moderator and slowly started to become an icon within Help Force and the community. While he was new to the community, he was always eager to learn and do what he could to help the army. By May 2023, Jo achieved a High Command position. Just three months later, in August, he was promoted to Leader. Alongside Beasto, Jo played a key role in the Helpers’ victory in the most recent Legends Cup. Additionally, he has continued to build the army’s iconic AUSIA division, allowing the army to live up to its nickname as an AUSIA powerhouse.

Help Force’s most recent addition to the Leadership was Diwix. Unlike Beasto and Jo, he was first recruited into the army by Ayan, its creator, in 2019. However, it was only later on down the line, in mid 2020, that he truly started to become more active and involved. The historic Legends Cup X intrigued Diwix and helped him to gain a larger interest in the army and community. From there, he went on to become a Staff member in January 2021.

Diwix is also known as a founding member of the small-medium army, Bose DK Warriors. He led them to several victories, most notably against the Templars. Diwix retired from the Helpers in 2022 but returned in 2024 as an HCOM member, eager to help the Help Force succeed. He worked to prepare the army for the Legends Cup XIV tournament and played a key role in their victory. In February 2025, the Help Force inducted Diwix as its leader, completing the fearsome threesome. He now has the chance to secure his first tournament win as a leader.

Meet The Leaders

Both of these armies and Leaderships have worked extremely hard to make it to where they are today. Their outstanding performance leading up to the Grand Finals shows us a glimpse of how much they want to win. With that being said, it is time to meet the leaders. Club Penguin Armies reached out to each armies leaders to understand their mindset and their preperations going into this major battle.

What is your army doing in preparation for the Grand Finals? What aspect is being focused on the most?

Jo: We’re focusing a lot on recruiting and getting new troops involved. In the past 2 battles we were outnumbered and still won. RPF is known for their skill in battle so it’s important for us to have at least a similar size to them.

BEASTO: Recruiting and doing fun CPJ stuff are the most focused u can say rn, doing hype ofcourse, we have a superpower pfp theme with a status saying “Crushing the Rebellion”. HF has always been hyped about battles especially Finales and that’s why we always do matching themes!

Diwix: We are trying our best to gather everyone we can, because we will definitely need it for a tough opponent in the finals. From recruiting to DMing our troops. We are giving it our best in every aspect we can

Link3000: We’re not focusing on one aspect in particular, we’re trying to make sure everything is up to par. We had a themed week last week as part of our 100 day long operation which was a nice break between March Madness and this week we’ve just been focused on trainings. Speed, formation, tactics etc. Nothing special to be honest but also still focusing on improving our form.

Gabgeirl: More than anything we’ve just been focusing on polishing things off based on judge feedback and making sure that people are really hyped to join in. There’s a lot of expectation to do well after the first two rounds and we really want to make sure that we follow through with it.

While leading, what is the most important attribute for a Leader?

Jo: Being able to adapt quickly. I’m talking about deciding the best formation quickly and being able to react to what the other army does. This includes coutering a bomb with a bwb and picking formations that counter your opponents. These things are more difficult to do during battle since time is limited.

BEASTO: A leader must always be decisive and taking initiative towards what’s best for the army, leading the staff and the troops without any hesitation and most importantly be a friend to everyone in the army

Diwix: An important thing for leaders is to maintain a good relationship with members of the army. Without a good relationship, a leader is in no position to set the path for others to follow.

Link3000: In my opinion just trying to keep yourself cool. Your leading and energy will translate in battle and to the troops. If things are going badly, just shake it off and focus on what you can improve that moment instead of losing hope. If things are going well, stay level-headed and don’t get ahead of yourself. Avoiding tunnel vision as well is also important. You have to be able to see the full picture to know how to get the upper hand in the battle.

Gabgeirl: For me I think it’s about understanding that no leader is more important than the army as a whole and that there is always room for improvement. At the end of the day we’re all here because we care about what we’re doing so we may as well do our best to improve.

What plans does your army have in the event that you win March Madness X?

Jo: We would have a massive buffet to celebrate. After that we would go back to normal activities until Legends Cup, with some chaos along the way. Invading Mammoth while ACP isn’t looking is also somewhere on the list

BEASTO: In the event we win March madness, the Help Force will be looking towards a celebration event ofcourse, with an open buffet and some fun minigames. Also we will be focusing towards winning the upcoming tournament (the next Legends Cup), hopefully we can win a Legends Cup trophy again but ofcourse it will be with much preparation!

Diwix:We plan to celebrate in my igloo. Curry will be given out to all attendees.

Link3000: Celebrate of course. Carry that hype and excitement and energy further into our 100-day long Operation. When we won Christmas Chaos, the energy in the server was unmatched, and I do think it helped us maintain our hype and vibes the last few months leading up to the March Madness Tournament. So we’ll enjoy ourselves and probably also have a small break afterwards lmao.

Gabgeirl: No matter how the battle goes we’ll likely have a more chill week with some more fun events, but to be honest all of our efforts have been on the battle so it’s not been given much thought.

The Grand Finals is certainly shaping up to be an interesting one as both armies’ leaders have an extensive history and impressive achievements. On Sunday, we will see which army will come out on top. We at Club Penguin Armies wish both armies the best going into this battle. What leadership advice resonated with you the most? What leadership aspects do you believe are best for a tournament battle like this? Which army are you backing to win the tournament?
