A successful year has concluded with us being able to reflect upon the top tens of the previous 12 months. The CPA team is excited to release the in-depth statistics of 2024 in this year’s Top Ten Armies of the Year.
When we left off last year, we noted there was far more competition in the community than in the year prior. This was touched on heavily by our Chief Executive Producer Coolguy in an editorial titled, “2024: The Rise of Club Penguin Armies?” I implore a reader of it since the post does a wonderful score of highlighting the improvements this year that I couldn’t do justice in this post.
The top army of the year at the end of 2024 was the Army of Club Penguin at the helm of Coolguy and Austinfraud. It’s no secret that the army remained successful this year through trial and tribulation. But would they retain the top spot in a more competitive environment (especially given EGCP’s dominance over the fall and winter of 2023)? If the army remained successful in keeping the top spot, they would’ve accomplished a rare feat only undertaken by the Rebel Penguin Federation twice (first in 2016–2017 under Elmikey and Silverburg, and again 2019-2020 by Ultipenguinj and Plane which was bookended by the successful duo of Crazzy and Cosmo).
Plenty of events occurred this year. The recent return of the Doritos after an exodus from the Secret Service would be the most prominent one, but other events including this year’s Legends Cup and Christmas Chaos in terms of prominent tournaments and the Centenary Solstice War have also influenced the Top Ten greatly. This year was no stranger to multilogging scandals including with Brownie4s and a saga involving Marqussy.
With that all said, we would like to introduce the top ten armies of this year:

The Army of Club Penguin after coming in first place for the yearly edition of the Top Ten for the first time in their history join an exclusive club. Achieving first place on a bookend from the previous year, the army had to fend off strong competition this year from continued success from their rival, the Elite Guardians. ACP also had to deal with a shorter window to achieve a streak.
Below are some statistics that can help put this year in perspective:
2024 in Statistics
Top Overall Scores of the Year
The highest overall score this year (minimum: top fifteen in the yearly Top Ten) was the Doritos‘ total concluding the week of December 15th, 2024. This came in the middle of Christmas Chaos which saw other armies spike in scoring including the Army of Club Penguin and Rebel Penguin Federation. Honorable mention in the Ice Warriors that would’ve been second with 85.50. All of these scores are an improvement from last year (10th last year had 62 points). Below is the full list of the top 10 scores of the year:
1. Doritos of Club Penguin (87.50) – December 15th
2. Army of Club Penguin (79.91) – December 15th
3. Doritos of Club Penguin (77.75) – December 1st
4. Army of Club Penguin (77.23) – September 29th
5. Doritos of Club Penguin (75.23) – November 3rd
6. Doritos of Club Penguin (71.58) – November 10th
7. Army of Club Penguin (70.77) – October 13th
8. Templars of Club Penguin (68.72) – April 7th
9. Rebel Penguin Federation (68.10) – December 15th
10. Army of Club Penguin (67.81) – October 20th
Top Size Averages of the Year
The highest size average this year (minimum: top fifteen in the yearly Top Ten) was the Army of Club Penguin‘ for the week of September 29th. This came off the back of their anniversary. An honorable mention to the Ice Warriors, however, for capping out their size average on May 26th. Below is the full list of the top 10 scores of the year:
1. Army of Club Penguin (63.73) – September 29th
2. Doritos of Club Penguin (61.00) – December 15th
3. Help Force (57.00) – July 7th
4. Army of Club Penguin (55.91) – December 15th
5. Doritos of Club Penguin (52.72) – December 1st
6. Doritos of Club Penguin (51.73) – November 3rd
7. Water Vikings (49.00) – March 24th
8. Army of Club Penguin (48.88) – December 1st
9. Army of Club Penguin (47.83) – October 27th
10. Doritos of Club Penguin (46.50) – November 17th
Longest Streaks at #1
The army that held first place the longest was a tie between the Army of Club Penguin and the Doritos of Club Penguin—the former holding it from September 29th to November 2nd and the latter directly following them up from November 3rd to December 7th. They both would hold the first-place spot for 5 weeks straight. Below is the list of the five longest streaks this here:
1T. Army of Club Penguin (5 weeks) – September 29th – November 2nd
1T. Doritos of Club Penguin (5 weeks) – November 3rd – December 7th
3. Army of Club Penguin (4 weeks) – December 31st – January 27th
4T. Army of Club Penguin (3 weeks) – February 11th – March 2nd
4T. Elite Guardians of Club Penguin (3 weeks) – June 2nd – June 23rd
Most Weeks at #1
The army that held first place the most this year was the Army of Club Penguin with 19 first-place finishings. This comes in a year where the ACP faced a far more competitive environment with the field being spread out. They receive this off the backs of their 2023 campaign where they where edged out by the Elite Guardians by a singular point. ACP trumps the second, EGCP, by ten more first-place finishings. Ultimately, nine armies achieved first place this year (a downgrade from the historic 2023 but tied with 2013).
That wraps up another year in the books. It has been an amazing year for the community. Whether or not we will see this level of competitiveness remains to be seen but with a new map coming soon anything is in the cards. This year was only possible with the people who took part in the community this year. This also means army leaders and troops, not just their own armies.
Club Penguin Armies remains steadfast in our commitment to provide the best top tens in the entire community for the foreseeable future like always. Unfortunately, some plans we had for this Top Ten of the Year had to be delayed. This post will be updated in the next few days with belated new icons and more graphics—with a likely companion post sometime in January explaining each army in more depth. In the new year, we plan on easing into doing quarter top tens every three months.
A massive thanks to Alemax, Omsk, Shalissia, Spotty, Jojo Teri, Litt, Mogi, Nicky, Zenishira, Lawless, Sweater, Ugly, Joelfreak, Tulip, Hampterio, Ella, Calgocubs, July, Fatchicken, T_T, Zen1thian, Mary, Satchmo, Rye Bread, and Spin for all contributing to this year as committee members.
From myself, Mare, Edu, Coolguy, Link, and the rest of the committee, we wish you all a Happy New Year, CPA!
