CPA Spotlight: Marqussy Caught Multilogging for Multiple Armies

Less than a month after a previous multilogging scandal, the Administration found a former Army of Club Penguin troop, Marqussy, multilogging within a couple of armies.

Spotlight is the investigative department at Club Penguin Armies that looks into cases of cheating and corruption within the community.

On September 25, the CPA Administration received a report about a troop involved in multilogging, Kyfur from the Army of Club Penguin. The individual who multilogged was using an alt Discord account. The army initially assumed this was just a new recruit from CPJourney. This user had not been promoted before. As a result, one of the staff members helped them create a new account before the event.

Later, the ACP staff discovered that one of their members had created an account for the user but forgot to promote them, leaving others unaware. As a result, the user kept both accounts active. Once they noticed both accounts were online, the ACP staff immediately notified the CPA Administrators.

Start of Investigation

When reviewing the account, it was noticed that the user joined the Clovers on the same day they created their account. The army leaders initially assumed this was a new person in the army and Discord. In the past, there have been new troops that created a Discord account on the same day. However, it raised some suspicion among the Admins, prompting further investigation. This behavior was not typical of most new troops.

Upon further investigation, it was discovered that this brand-new account and the CPABattleground account were linked to six other accounts. One of these accounts, known as Marqussy, belonged to an individual who had previous issues within the Clovers, leading to their ban from the server. The other accounts were spaghetti, yourfavs, jesuspvz, hotdogbuns, 01metalmike, and jackwill. All these accounts were created under ACP.

After noticing this, the administration investigated all the events this user logged into. We found instances where the times clashed, indicating that the user likely multilogged during those periods. Furthermore, we discovered that this user did not log on solely for the ACP; they also logged in for another army, the Help Force.

The photos below display the events associated with these logged accounts on September 18 and 25. While photos for September 22 were not found, the overlapping times suggest that a multilogging incident likely occurred for an army during those periods.

After these findings, the Administration tried contacting Kyfur and confronting them for their actions. However, this user was not responding.

Contacting Kyfur

Following the investigation, it was discovered that the troop was attempting to log in for ACP’s event on September 27 and still did not respond to the confrontation message. The Admins promptly contacted Clover’s leader, Ugly, and instructed him to reach out to CPAB moderators to ensure these accounts were removed from their event. Additionally, the administration swiftly deactivated these accounts due to their harmful behavior, which had impacted not just one army but two. The decision to deactivate these accounts was crucial in preventing the spread of multilogging to other armies.

Discussions with HF and ACP Leaders

The Administration ended up creating a group chat involving all the HF and ACP leaders to discuss the findings of this investigation. It was found that, before the events, Marqussy had appealed his ban with the Clovers, which was successful. However, the leaders were not aware that Kyfur was an alt of Marqussy until the Administration notified them. As a result, all alt accounts including Kyfur and Marqussy have now been banned from both armies.

Administration communicating with leaders

Moving forward, the Top Ten will be readjusted, and for events where multilogging occurs, a -1 will be deducted from the maximum sizes for each multilog at all ACP and HF events where these accounts were multi-logged. This adjustment will ensure that their events are counted at their true size.

Final Thoughts

Currently, this is the fourth multilogging incident that has occurred since the new administration began. Additionally, in just under a month, there have now been two incidents regarding this issue. We would like to remind army leaders to be more cautious of individuals who join their armies and events. If any further suspicious activities arise, we advise you to immediately contact the CPA administration for further investigation. The administration wants to make it clear that multilogging will not be tolerated in the community. Regardless of whether leaders were aware of the situation, all individuals involved will face the same deductions.
