Centenary Solstice War Concludes; Clovers Emerge Victorious

Over the past month, the Elite Guardians and the Army of Club Penguin have been locked in intense battles, with the Elite Guardians ultimately being defeated by the Clovers. In this post, we will delve into the major battles of the war and explore the perspectives of leaders from both armies.

On July 28, 2024, the Elite Guardians declared war on the Army of Club Penguin in reaction to what they considered to be a series of unsolved issues. The Elite Guardians secured a decisive 32-0 victory in their first dispute in World War IX. However, peace talks did not recognize this result, leading to a reset of the war score. In a following clash, the Elite Guardians lost due to a technicality of a map term, despite feeling they had shifted the tide of battle. During the Christmas Crusade, once more the Guardians won most battles, although negotiations for peace talks failed to pinpoint a clear winner. These events pushed the Elite Guardians to seek a definite conclusion through a formal declaration of war against the Clovers.

The last ever battle of the war.

Previously, the Army of Club Penguin and the Elite Guardians of Club Penguin have had a tense relationship, marked by several fierce battles. They have met multiple times, including in the Legends Cup XIII semifinals and World War IX, where both sides demonstrated impressive sizes and strategies. These past conflicts have fueled their ongoing rivalry and set the stage for war. The Army of Club Penguin cited “bad-mouthing” by the Elite Guardians and a shared ambition to reach the top as reasons for their declaration. In response, the Elite Guardians accepted the challenge, showing their commitment and readiness for battle.

MAJOR BATTLES: ELITE GUARDIANS

Friday, August 2

Invasion Of Snow Forts

Room 1 showed EGCP’s impressive performance, despite ACP battling with uneven troop presence and delayed plan execution. EGCP’s tactics and constant tempo helped them outperform ACP. In Room 2, both armies started with strong vigor, although their formations were often disorganized. EGCP originally possessed a size advantage, and their various approaches contrasted with ACP’s less effective approach. ACP’s tactical errors, including poorly timed attempts, enabled EGCP to maintain its dominance and size throughout the room. In Room 3, EGCP continued to use its size advantage, with ACP’s tactics unable to keep pace. Although ACP put up a battle early on, EGCP’s greater performance and steady edge throughout the session clinched their triumph in the final room with a score of 3-0.

Defense of Avalanche

Room 1 and Room 2 were similar, with both featuring moments when the armies appeared evenly matched. EGCP had slight advantages that made their shapes look larger and cover more space. ACP faced challenges due to slower troop movements and occasional inactivity, which EGCP used to their advantage. Despite ACP’s efforts to keep up, consistency and speed issues helped EGCP prevail in both rooms. In Room 3, sizes evened out, and EGCP’s pace slowed momentarily. ACP showed improved performance with better formations and placement. Although some formations were less effective, ACP’s overall execution helped them counter EGCP’s efforts more successfully. In the end, the Elite Guardians secured victories in Room 1 and Room 2, while ACP achieved the win in Room 3, resulting in a final score of 2-1.

FRIDAY, AUGUST 9

Defense of Fiesta

Both armies entered Room 1 promptly and set their positions; EGCP maintained a more ordered approach while displaying early mobility strength. ACP presented some difficulties for judges in understanding their approach since their formations showed some flaws and contradictions. In Room 2, the rivalry stayed fierce since both sides had areas of weakness and times of strength that resulted in a fair exchange devoid of a clear leader. While EGCP seemed to struggle more with maintaining their formations, Room 3 saw ACP improve greatly, displaying faster and more accurate movements. Both sides exchanged control and proved their best strategies in the very competitive overtime room. The battle’s back-and-forth character notwithstanding, EGCP’s somewhat better tactics and faster execution finally provided their advantage. EGCP won just a narrow 3-1 overall, yet showed better performance all around.

Defense of Fjord

In Room 1, EGCP entered first, followed by ACP, with both armies struggling to maintain consistency in their formations, resulting in gaps and uneven spacing. EGCP, though slower at times, managed to cover ACP effectively and appeared larger despite being the same size or slightly smaller. ACP’s movements were quicker but occasionally too long, exposing gaps and making their formations look smaller. In the end, EGCP managed to dominate with more effective coverage and better appearance, despite some initial difficulties. Ultimately, EGCP emerged victorious.

MAJOR BATTLES: ARMY OF CLUB PENGUIN

Sunday, August 11

Invasion of Ventilador

In Room 1, ACP entered first with a size advantage. Throughout the battle, both armies made mistakes and weren’t at their best, with ACP utilizing the sizes of the space effectively while EGCP struggled with formations. Mistakes were common, and both armies were frequently noted for them across all rooms. In Room 2, ACP was recognized for executing well-organized forms, while EGCP had some good moments despite the size difference. In Room 3, both armies began similarly, which helped EGCP to minimize the apparent size differential, but ACP’s larger numbers allowed them to be more expansive. Both armies showed commendable efforts throughout the battle; however, due to their size advantage, ACP emerged victorious in all three rooms.

Invasion of Avalanche

In all three rooms, ACP entered first and quickly established a strong presence, consistently appearing larger and more organized than EGCP. EGCP struggled with their formations, often lacking the numbers and spacing to create good shapes, resulting in gaps and weak coverage. Both armies were slow to move at times, but ACP generally had cleaner and more effective formations, covering EGCP and maintaining visibility throughout the battles. Despite some errors, ACP managed to leverage its advantages and performed better overall, ultimately winning all three rooms.

Invasion of Cabin

In the initial room, ACP started forming a shape while EGCP began with a different formation. Both armies appeared sluggish, with ACP quickly addressing a gap. EGCP showcased AFK troops and questionable spacing, while ACP had some issues with bunching. EGCP’s gaps and the equal flaws of both armies led to a tie. In the next room, ACP’s larger and more stable formations consistently outperformed EGCP, who struggled with gaps and shifting forms, resulting in an ACP win. In the final room, ACP effectively used their size advantage, forming a dominant shape and surrounding EGCP, whose formation suffered from gaps and poor execution. ACP’s superior performance throughout secured their victory.

Invasion Of Zero Grau ( CAPITAL )

Due to EGCP failing to meet the minimum required size for a valid defense, ACP successfully invaded Zero Grau. This battle marked the end of the war, concluding a series of intense and challenging engagements.

To learn more about the conclusion of the war, Club Penguin Armies spoke with representatives from both sides: Fitsuki from the Elite Guardians and Ugly from the Army of Club Penguin.

Ugly, ACP Leader: I think the war went good and it definitely surprised a lot of people that a war finally finished like how a war is supposed to end for once (shocker), despite tries to make it otherwise. ACP did pretty good this war and I’m proud of everyone that worked towards this victory. EGCP did okay too but it seems they were busy with stuff outside the battlefield.

Fitsuki, EGCP Leader: I imagine anyone else in my place would be sad and exhausted, but I’m happy. We fought until the end, with honor and without surrender, and following the will of our troops. Unfortunately, the result was not what we expected, but that’s okay. We improved and learned a lot from this war. I must admit that ACP performed well in this war, although they almost gave up at the beginning. My congratulations to ACP HCOM and staff, who carried their army during the war while their leaders picked their noses and increasingly displeased their troops.

ACP Issues Force Treaty on EGCP

ACP and EGCP are both formidable and resilient armies, much like the legendary giants Goliath and the underdog David. After a month of intense struggle and hardship, the war between EGCP and ACP finally ended. Both armies are keen to learn from their mistakes in the war and are committed to striving for excellence and dominance in the future. How do you perceive their battles in the context of these painstaking battles? What can we expect to see in the future for both armies?
