Since 2020, Mare has been a respected judge in the community. She has provided expertise in the Sub Zero Army League (SZAL), Club Penguin Army Network (CPAN), Club Penguin Army Hub (CPAH), and the Club Penguin Armies. Over the past four years, Mare has overseen numerous battles, wars, and tournaments, earning her high respect and recognition within the community.

Mare applied as a Judge in Club Penguin Army Judges on February 24, 2022, and got accepted 2 days later. She held this position for over a year. On April 30, 2023, Mare was promoted to Head Judge after receiving over 75% of the votes from the army representatives. She replaced Wynn, who had stepped down a few weeks earlier. During her induction interview, she expressed her goals of improving the judging system and providing proper training for new judges. Mare also expressed her enthusiasm for contributing to the organization of tournaments. In 2023 only, Mare judged over 25 battles, including wars and championships.

After over a year of experience as Head Judge, she announced her retirement right after the Legends Cup XIV tournament ended. This retirement came around the same time as her promotion to Chief Executive Producer in CPA.

Furthermore, we sat down with Mare to further understand her feelings about her departure.

What were your favorite moments as a Head Judge?

My favorite moments while being a head judge was definitely organizing the olympics! I had so much fun working with the head judges to create this. I loved helping choose the games, the themes, the whole thing! Also, I loved how much activity it brought to CPAJ.

Why did you decide to step down as a Head Judge?

I believe my time as a Head Judge was a valuable experience. I held the position for over a year and felt it was the right moment to step down and let new Head Judges take over. The offer of an Admin position also played a significant role in my decision. I think it’s important to give others the opportunity to lead for the betterment of the organization

Do you have anything to say to the judges’ community? What would you tell/advise people who aspire to become a Head Judge?

Glhf<3 make sure to endorse me on Overwatch I’m trying to get level 5 endorsement! As for those with the goals of becoming a Head Judge honestly just be as active as you can, help out, show up on time, and make sure you’re always communicating with people if you’re ever gonna be late to a battle, or something!

Mare is undeniably one of the most hardworking individuals the modern community has ever seen. We, at Club Penguin Armies, wish her success in her new adventures as our brand-new CEP and also congratulate her for her work as Head Judge. What do YOU expect about her work? Do you think we will see her still judging important battles?
