After serving in the People’s Imperial Confederation leadership for several months, Sweater has decided to step down from his leadership position. He also stated that this is not actually goodbye as he will still be around in the congress.
Sweater initially joined the Club Penguin army community in 2013. He initially joined the Ice Warriors, however was soon recruited into Special Weapons And Tactics by Ganger90. His time in the army was brief because he had to retire for personal reasons. Yet, this was not the last we would see of Sweater. In 2015, he returned to armies after receiving a letter from his good friend, Memmaw, urging him to join Takis as 3ic. Sweater quickly returned to SWAT, this time advancing to Moderator before earning a leadership position in Shadow Recon. During his leadership, the army had significant growth and won the Continental Cup II.
In more recent times, Sweater revived SWAT with Zuke, SCargo2, and Jaylen in 2020. His time leading SWAT was short-lived, however, he did return to the army on multiple occasions. From here, Sweater went on to lead the Fire Warriors to tournament glory, winning the Challengers Cup II Finals.
Despite leading multiple armies and winning some trophies along the way, Sweater was not satisfied after retiring from armies following Fire Warriors’ closure. This led to multiple stints in armies including the Penguins Of Madagascar and SWAT. In June 2023, he arrived in the People’s Imperial Confederation as a member of their congress. At the time, he was leading SWAT, however, took it upon himself to share his advice and wisdom with PIC. This was not his first time within the army though. He had previously served in the army in October 2021 as a Leader in Training.
Following his departure from SWAT in August, he went on to become a Leader of the Confederation and helped them to win the Beach Brawl II tournament. He did both of these things on August 26th, cementing his place and legacy within the army. Since joining, many challenges have faced him, however, he has taken them head-on. One of these challenges was the Christmas Crusade II war against the Elite Guardians. Their declaration of war saw them faced with a big challenge but they brought the battle to the Guardians alongside their alliance members. This war was then followed by a successful war against their future allies, Winged Hussars.
It is clear to see that Sweater has had a big impact on the army, not only in wars but out of them too. This year alone, under his command, the Confederation has been able to win the New Year Bonanza Small/Medium army trophy (2024) and become a major army.
Despite his successes with the army and within the community, Sweater has called time on his tenure as a Leader. He officially retired from the army on March 17th, after hosting a farewell event. 20 penguins showed up to bid Sweater farewell and good luck in his future endeavours. Yet, there was a surprise still to come. Following his retirement Sweater was inducted into PIC’s Hall of Fame as a Legend. He was also awarded with the Medal of Vitality alongside Caitlin, Sidie9, Alucard, Cassie, Shallissa, Deep, Jojo Teri, Kurumi, Joel, Kobi and Saber.
As well as these awards, both Jojo Teri and Caitlin also earned the Medal of Camaraderie for their immense contributions to PIC.
Club Penguin Armies decided to reach out to Sweater regarding his departure from leadership.
What were the reasons for your retirement?
I retired because I just don’t have the time for leading anymore. I work full time, and on top of trying to maintain a social life and a 3-year relationship it’s just too much. Something was always lacking. Sometimes my leadership skills would fall behind, other times my relationship or my work would fall behind. I had to cut back on something for the sake of my sanity, and unfortunately leading made the most sense.
What do you anticipate the People’s Imperial Confederation (PIC) will accomplish in your absence?
I expect that PIC will continue growing. The leadership is really solid. It’s got a mix of experience and fresh ideas, so I expect a lot of good change from them.
Do you feel that there was any goal you missed during your time in PIC and are willing to have it fulfilled by other leaders?
Not really, I think I accomplished more than enough. Two tournaments and reaching major status is enough for me. I guess the next logical step would’ve been to win a major tournament, or even something like Legends Cup but I’m content with what I’ve done. It’s enough. I’m enough.
Do you plan to join a new army?
No, definitely not. I still want to be heavily involved with PIC in my role as an Advisor/Congress member. To join another army would be a slap in the face to them.
Is there any additional message you would like to pass to your army and the army community?
Thanks for everything, Club Penguin armies. I love everything this community is and everything it has to offer.
During his stay in the People’s Imperial Confederation, he earned numerous achievements. He will now concentrate on his life outside armies and continue to work as an advisor. He hopes that his army will go on to win a major tournament. Club Penguin Army wishes him the best of success in his real life and club penguin army career. Will we see Sweater return anytime soon? Will PIC continue to rise without him?
