gianna joined the army community in January 2022 after enlisting herself in the Rebel Penguin Federation. In just a month of joining, she rose to the position of Specialist, (one of the troop ranks), and was recognized as the 238th Troop of the Week within the army. Given her eagerness to participate and activeness within the army, she was promoted to an official staff member (Officer) of the Rebels in August 2022, receiving the rank of Brigadier General. Her promotion to High Command, being Third in Command came this year in May, following which she led the Club Penguin News Team of the army from the month of August to October before she decided to step down from her position. “For all her time in HCOM, the hard work she put, the dedication, and just overall helpfulness,” gianna was awarded the role of RPF Veteran upon her retirement from the army.

Yvng joined the Rebels on May 5th, 2020 after coming across the army during one of their events on Club Penguin Rewritten. However, his journey within the army would only begin at the end of September, when he actively started to take part in the events and interact within the server. After receiving the Troop of the Week award in October, Yvng would go on to be promoted to Officer Cadet (Staff in Training). In August of the following year, given his sincerity, and hard work, he made his way to the position of General, the highest Moderator rank before retiring briefly. He would soon return to the army in a span of two months and this time, within just a month of coming back, his diligence and commitment to the army gained him the position of Third in Command in the month of November. At the dawn of 2022, Yvng received his promotion to Second in Command in March. As a Higher Command of the army, Yvng not only helped the Rebels to emerge victorious in Christmas Chaos XI participating in March Madness XII and this year’s Legends Cup but also assisted them in war, leading one of the battles during the Summer Sovereignty War against the Templars and showing up for the army during World War IX. Yvng currently resides in the Rebels’ Hall of Fame as an ‘RPF Rebel’, a title which “is given to those who through considerable strength helped RPF and were always loyal, proving themselves a true soldier.”

How Yvng came across RPF

Cracked joined the army community on June 14, 2020, after he was recruited into the Rebel Penguin Federation. His very first event in the army was an Igloo Raid, and since then, he decided to remain in the army working his way up through the ranks and being active in the server. After four months, he received the role of Officer Cadet (Staff in Training), and eventually, was welcomed into the staff team of the army in December 2020. He held the position of Officer for almost a year, before getting promoted to Third in Command in November 2021. He reminisces about his journey from a troop to a Higher Command Member in the army in his recent retirement post, writing,

I joined in a bustling time full of activity, which was really cool, I loved the vibe and the friends I made. As I eventually made it to Cadet and then Officer, I got even more comfortable and started talking to more people. I had some ups and downs as officer, as everyone does, but getting HCOM helped get my motivation back in a time when I was kinda losing the spark. Helping with the behind the scenes stuff, planning things, being there in the fun and the tough times has been a lot of fun, and I’m glad I went on this journey.

I’ve enjoyed my time as staff, both as HCOM and Officer, but everything must come to an end.

In October 2022, Cracked was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the Army as an ‘RPF Rebel’ for all his hard work, and “for his extreme diligence and dedication” towards the army. His journey however would not stop there as he continued to serve as a Second in Command within the army for another whole year, helping the Rebels out whenever it was needed, before he decided to step down.

Club Penguin Armies reached out to all three of them to learn more about their retirement. However, we are yet to hear back from Yvng and Cracked.

What is the reason behind your retirement?

gianna: life aside from the internet was just really getting in the way and, at the time as well as prior to making my decision to retire, i couldn’t devote as much time to rpf as i would’ve liked.

Yvng:

Cracked:

What kind of an impact do you think your retirement will have on the army at large?

gianna: to be completely honest, i don’t think it will have too much of an impact. rpf has a hard-working and productive staff / hcom team and i truly think the server will be completely fine.

Yvng:

Cracked:

What would you say has been the best thing about being a Higher Command?

gianna: from my experience, the best thing about being an hcom has definitely been working with everyone on the team. it’s always really cool when you can contribute to such a large community and i had a really nice time doing so.

Yvng:

Cracked:

Could you share your favorite memory/memories of the army with me, if it’s not too personal?

gianna: one of my favorite memories has definitely been getting troop of the week. i got it at a really early rank and i just remember being over the moon about it from the first to final day of having the role. it’s always rewarding and such a nice honor.

Yvng:

Cracked:

Do you plan to come back at any time in the future?

gianna: if and when the time is right, i’ll be back. however, for now i plan to put all of my focus on life away from discord and take some things off of my plate.

Yvng:

Cracked:

Any final words or advice that you would like to give to the staff team and the army at large?

gianna: my final words would definitely just be a massive thank you to everyone who’s been apart of my journey in rpf. whether we’ve known each other for the entire duration of my stay or we just met, it’s been an honor.

Yvng:

Cracked:

It goes without saying that all three of them have certainly played an integral part in the army.  Throughout their time in the army, they have not only proven their loyalty towards the Rebels but have put in the effort and worked extremely hard to get where they are today. We respect their work ethic and their dedication to the army and would like to wish them the very best in all of their future endeavors.
