Amidst internal struggles and a leader’s sudden retirement, the Dark Pirates have merged into the Special Weapons and Tactics.
Following the closure of the Baseball Team of Club Penguin, Tide, and Ninja Leader created the Dark Pirates in April of 2023. The Pirates played a notable role in community conflicts, joining the Sapphire Concordat during their war against the Dark Vikings. Additionally, they developed alliances with the People’s Imperial Confederation, Special Weapons and Tactics, and the Elite Guardians. Most recently, the Dark Pirates battled the Templars during the qualifier round of Legends Cup XIII.
Just a few days ago, the Dark Pirates declared war on the Penguins of Madagascar. The reason for the war was revealed to be the failed merger between the Baseball Team and the Penguins earlier this year. The Dark Pirates haven’t addressed the status of this war, however, many speculate that their merger into SWAT has broken war terms. Due to neither army holding servers on the map, Club Penguin Armies cannot enforce the terms of war. As no battles have actually taken place between the Pirates and POM, the winner of this war will remain uncertain.
Despite their action on the battlefield, the Dark Pirates are no strangers to internal conflict either. Tide has left and rejoined the army’s leadership multiple times during his tenure. However, despite returning to the army less than one month ago, more drama has unfolded. Just yesterday, Ninja Leader banished Tide from the army and labelled him a “Dark Pirates Official Traitor.” Ninja Leader then proceeded to ban him from the server. This came after Tide addressed his desire to retire from the army, once again. Although Ninja Leader stated that Tide left because he was “sick of him”, outsiders can’t help but speculate on the reasons for their sudden animosity. Subsequently, Ninja Leader announced the Dark Pirates’ merger into SWAT, leaving the community searching for answers.
Club Penguin Armies reached out to Ninja Leader to ask about the details of the merge.
What prompted the Dark Pirates’ merge into the Special Weapons and Tactics?
I thought to get some more experience in CPA
Do you have any favorite memories from leading the Dark Pirates?
I have many. Had a lot of fun I have many. 😄
What are you hoping to achieve during your time in SWAT? Can we expect to see the Dark Pirates again in the future?
I would like to lead SWAT to get victories and like to approach to the Leader rank and gain up some great experience
Let’s see😜
Additionally, Club Penguin Armies reached out to Tide to learn more about his sudden departure from Dark Pirates.
What was the reason for your retirement?
The drama behind the scenes involving Ninja and me led to numerous arguments, increasing frustration with the army’s operations. Eventually, I reached my breaking point and decided to retire from DPC.
Despite recent disagreements, do you have any fun memories from your time in Dark Pirates?
One of my favourite memories from the DPC is the time we participated in the DV war alongside the Sapphire Concordat. It was an incredibly enjoyable experience, and I can confidently say that it was the most fun I’ve ever had in CPA.
What are your plans moving forward?
My future plans involve aiming for a leadership position within SWAT. I find it to be an excellent army, and I’ve been having a wonderful time during my current involvement. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing many fantastic individuals who have been part of SWAT from the time I spent there in 2022. I’m excited to see what the future has in store for me in this regard.
It is clear to see, from Tide’s responses, that internal conflict is the reason for his departure from Dark Pirates. Furthermore, Ninja Leader has made it known that his desire to join SWAT is what led to his army’s shutdown. Both Ninja Leader and Tide appear optimistic about their future in SWAT, with each hoping to achieve leadership positions one day. Regardless of what the future holds for the army and its members, Dark Pirates have certainly made their mark on the army community. We, at Club Penguin Armies wish them all the best of luck!
