KLONDIKE, CP Army Headquarters- On July 2nd, Simmonds2000, formerly known as Arceus1296, announced that he would join the Golden Troops leadership. Continue reading below to find out more information!

Simmonds rejoined the CP Army community back in 2020 when the pandemic had begun. Before that, he was a member of the community from 2010 to 2014, being a member of the Nachos, Ice Warriors, Army of Club Penguin, Elites, Smart Penguins, Dark Champions, among others. When he rejoined the community in April of 2020, he joined SWAT as a Leader-in-Training, later becoming a leader. When he left SWAT, he joined Elites in the summer to lead alongside Luciferstar and Mythic. After the Elites shut down, he joined the Fire Warriors leadership from January up until last week.

Simmonds will be joining the Golden Troops leadership alongside Kattle11, TheMightyA, and Neha. He stated that he has big plans for the upcoming days and weeks and big strategies. On June 30th, Simmonds helped lead his very first battle against the Doritos during Project Conquest, helping the army reach a max of 9.

CP Army Headquarters was able to reach out to Simmonds for an interview. Read below to find out what he has to say!

What made you choose to join the Golden Troops?

Since original club Penguin army generations before 2017, I had always wanted to lead Golden Troops. However, for many reasons, I never had the chance to do so. This alongside the fact that, I have a strong desire to lead Golden Troops back to glory once again.

What are some of the plans and/or strategies you have for the future?

One of the key plans I have for Golden Troops is to aid their growth. This will be completed mainly by recruiting and mentoring troops, alongside other stuff that I can’t say publicly yet. I have many other plans for Golden Troops including being on the top ten again, whilst being successful in tournaments. There is lots that I have in mind to help Golden Troops grow.

How does being in the Golden Troops compare to being in your other previous armies?

Every army is different to lead in, with different staff structures and environments. I would say that it feels similar to when I stepped in to help lead Fire Warriors. They are still growing to this day but I was happy to have been part of a lot of the growth that had taken place. What stays the same is my high level of ambition to get Golden Troops competing at high levels again.

What is your favorite thing about the Golden Troops?

That’s a hard one. There are many good things such as the people, the armies ambitions and the history. But if I had to say what my favourite thing was then I’d have to say the people. Including troops and the leaders I’ll be leading alongside. Everyone in Golden Troops is a joy to speak to and I can’t wait to be leading them to glory.
