KLONDIKE, CP Army Headquarters – On April 13th, tragedy struck in the icy empire. Ice Warriors leaders Flamez and Orange announced that they will be stepping down from the army. What led to this decision by the two leaders?
The Ice Warriors is one of the top legendary armies, founded in 2007 by Iceyfeet1234. Under the leadership of Orange and Flamez and many other reputed leaders, the army recently broke through the Top Ten lists. Often placing first and maxing more than 60, they were also the winners of the latest tournament, the March Madness.
Orange, according to his retirement post will be leaving armies for good after being with it since 2012. Orange is one of the people responsible for the revival of Chaos, among many other armies. He led Chaos on one final run before joining the Army of Club Penguin. After some time with the clovers, he moved to the Ice Warriors in July 2020. Originally planning on staying there for the summer, Orange ended up staying there for longer after re-connecting with old members. Other than his influence in armies, Orange also was a part of many CPA Organizations and is one of the most known CPA Members currently.
Flamez has been a part of the CPA community since 2009, and has certainly been a great influence on the Ice Warriors. Back in 2019, Flamez returned to have fun in the IW discord upon learning that old armies were coming back. As he spent his time in the army, he realised there were positives to being in this community. Flamez stepped up to leadership in March, 2020. After a year of leading the Ice Warriors and reaching new heights, he had bid his final goodbye to the army in his retirement event in memory of the Golds.
The two leaders held their retirement events over the weekend. On Saturday, the Warriors logged on for a practice battle with Water Vikings which marked Orange’s retirement. The next day, the Ice Warriors fought a huge battle against their brother allies, the Rebel Penguin Federation, to honour Flamez’s retirement. Both events had a great turnout of 70 and 75 respectively.
CP Army Headquarters reached out to the two leaders to find out more about their retirement.
Interview with Orange
How long have you been a Leader in IW for?
Since around December 30th
Whats your favorite event and tournament you led in your time as leader?
favorite event would be our return event where we maxed almost 100 and favorite tournament is obviously March madness where we defeated ACP to win the trophy
Why did you choose to retire so soon?
I detail in my retirement post which you can read on the IW site
Do you have any plans to stay in the army community?
Nah I don’t
Other than armies, do you have anything you plan to do irl?
I have a lot of plans irl that I am really excited for
Alright, finally, do you have any words for the Ice Warriors?
Ice Warriors have honestly made my past 9 months the best it could’ve ever been and I’m so happy I got to spend all that time with them. IW has a bright future ahead of them and I can’t wait to see wha they can do

Interview with Flamez
How long have you been a Leader in IW for?
Roughly would’ve been about March 14th, 2020
Whats your favorite event and tournament you led in your time as leader?
I’d have to say March Madness 2021 just because it’s our first cross league win, we all worked so hard for it too which just made it even better
Why did you choose to retire after 1 year of leading the army?
There’s a couple of reasons to be honest. 1. In my opinion I’m just too old to keep doing this and 2, I have nothing left to prove. We’ve proven ourselves to be the best and we’ve crushed everyone in our way, killed armies, alliances, won tournaments and there’s nothing left for me to do. For me it’s time to let someone else have their chance
Do you have any plans to stay in the army community?
We’ll see what happens
Other than armies, do you have anything you plan to do irl?
With covid restrictions being so strict here there’s not much to do, but studying and getting back to work when I can. And too much alcohol
Alright, finally, do you have any words for the Ice Warriors?
Ty for putting up with me and stay winning

With the unfortunate loss of these two amazing leaders, the Warriors have already announced that two new leaders will be inducted soon. The army community has all eyes on the Ice Warriors as it remains to be seen if the new leadership can keep Ice Warriors moving ahead and acheiving new things in the future.
What do YOU think of these two retirements? Will it impact the Warriors in any way? Let us know in the comments below!
