KLONDIKE, CPA Headquarters – Earlier today, The Templars of Club Penguin declared war on the Water Vikings, but what led to this chain of events?
Just earlier today, the Templars declared war on the Water Vikings in a post that can be found here. This isn’t the first time a conflict has emerged between the two, on March 3rd of this year the Water Vikings declared war on the Templars, dubbed as the “Golden Seas War“. The Templars and Water Vikings have time and time again put up numbers that could be considered rather impressive to the greater CPAHQ community. This week’s Top Ten, they swapped spots: the Templars coming to 5th place, while the Norse army ranked 7th. As no proper league or a server map exists for armies currently, there is no way to make the armies show up to the battle. As the Templars did in the Golden Seas war, and many more. To counter this, the Templars threatened to raid Water Vikings events in the following words: “Wv, we can see your events in your server, if you hide from this war we will raid every event you have you show up to at least 5 war battles“. To find out more, the CP Army Headquarters team reached out to Guncotton and Racecar04 for a statement regarding the situation:
Guncotton: Their declaration was no surprise, we crushed them in a war over a month ago and they were still pretty salty about it. WV is going through a rough patch rn so they took the opportunity and declared on us. We don’t mind a war and we were ready to defend ourselves against TCP but they had a ridiculous term of all the battles to be scheduled for 7 pm EST. After it was removed and we decided to do 5 battles in total and they set all the battles for 7 pm EST which made the removal of that term kinda pointless. We are ready for a war, we just don’t like the idea of a long-drawn one cause a war against TCP is really boring taking into account their whooping speed of 5 tactics per minute. They’re gonna raid our events now and we’re ready for it, more eq for both the armies.
Racecar04: For a long time, the community has seen Water Vikings as a pillar and a shining example in the army community. We can tell you this is false and the evidence we have of their actions from their hierarchy and all starts from the top. WV has a toxic environment from nitpicking and talking gossip about their allies, their jealousy, and the need for more power they put all for themselves while not putting the troops that serve within WV. They talked about all the troops they didn’t like within their army picked on them, insulted them, invalidated their so-called excuses for not recruiting all while these guys up in the leadership portion of WV have been doing next to no work themselves. They blamed their troops and that’s a shame because your troops should always come first they are the foundation of your army you need to learn how to treat them with respect WV. Regarding war, WV once again stands down only because the numbers and allies/odds aren’t in their favor and they use the excuse war is boring, then frankly why do you play CPA a game that is based on warfare and battles, Guncotton you should go back to retirement where you want to be because nobody else will lead the army and you guys don’t want any outsiders not in the inner circle to lead it themselves. So run WV, hide, just sit out and ignore the war, you are what we thought you were and you’re just proving that fact more day by day. We will drag this war until we feel we got revenge for what happened in the past. Broken terms, horrible treaty, etc. This war will show the real Water Vikings and how they are, toxic HCOM chat with screenshots and that they are wussies and they aren’t how they say they are. WV might not be in the best place for war but we have gotten deface and still fought a few days later so don’t wuss out. -Templar County

It’s clear that while the Water Vikings think this war is a waste of time, The templars call it an excuse and will continue to wage war. With conflicting views, and conflicts themselves, how will this war pan out? Will Templars be successful? Or will the Water Vikings come out on top?

The protocol for wars for so many years now in CPA has been each army selecting their invasion times in turn. Templars wanting to do all the battles of the war in one specific time of their choice is a ridiculous request which no army would accept. It’s the only time of the day they think they stand a chance against us and they probably knew we would decline such a ridiculous term. They didn’t care though, because they realize they would stand zero chance against us at any other time of the day.

“War is boring”, remind me when that was said please? The only thing I recall saying is “A long drawn war with templars is boring” cause you guys are genuinely so bad at battles that defeating you again and again isn’t fun.
You’re gonna raid our events so I guess it’d be good practice for our 2ics to lead against an army that stands completely still before they move on to lead battles against legitimate armies.
