As a precursor to their new alliance, the Templars and the Aliens clashed in a highly anticipated practice battle that ultimately ended in a clean 3-0 sweep in favor of TCP. From the opening moments, the Templars established control through superior size, stronger room coverage, and faster tactical pacing, while the Aliens showed moments of resilience but struggled to defend against TCP’s movements and formations consistently.
Room 1 – Forest (Templars)
The opening room began in the Forest with the Templars entering first and immediately establishing an anchor formation, while the Aliens responded with a sharp V. Early sizes already leaned heavily in TCP’s favor at 26-18, and that advantage only widened as the room progressed. Two minutes in, the Aliens attempted to shift momentum early with a waterfall into an upside-down V, aiming to occupy the spaces not covered by TCP’s initial form. The Templars followed, waterfalling into a plus formation that, despite starting slightly messy, quickly spread across key sections of the room. By this point, TCP had climbed to 30 online, while the Aliens remained steady in size.

The middle of the room saw the Aliens push aggressively with a whirlpool and later an X formation, though their transition into the X was noticeably slow. TCP capitalized on this hesitation with a wipe movement that exposed visible gaps in the Alien lines before shifting into an upside-down Y, challenging their opponent for the diagonals and right side of the room. As the room neared its closing moments, the Aliens attempted a Z formation, but the shape unintentionally made them appear smaller and left much of the room open. The Templars finished strongly with another waterfall into a Y that once again overlapped and covered the Alien formation.

By the end of this room, TCP was able to display their dominance through size, room coverage, and tactical pace, even as both sides had moments of sloppy formation work. The judges awarded the room to the Templars due to their size advantage, stronger forms, and sustained control throughout.
Room 2 – Inside Mine (Templars)
Inside Mine opened with both armies entering nearly simultaneously. The Templars quickly formed a triangle while the Aliens responded with an underlined V. Following this, TCP raked across the room, exposing several visible gaps in the Alien defense and forcing them onto the back foot early. At the three-minute mark, the Templars transitioned into a clean capital I formation, slightly off-center but tactically effective. The Aliens answered late with a bomb movement into a plus, yet TCP’s faster reactions allowed them to cover the move effectively and maintain room control.

By the midpoint, TCP bombed again and shifted into an X, one of their strongest formations of the battle, using it to spread across the room and maintain coverage from multiple angles. Both armies looked equal in performance at this point. Sizes at this point stood around 28-16 in favor of TCP, reinforcing their already clear advantage. Both armies noticeably improved in formation quality compared to the first room, though the Aliens still suffered from inconsistent spacing and recurring gaps. The closing moments featured both sides ending in somewhat messy formations, but the Templars’ earlier dominance had already secured the round.

This room highlighted TCP’s improved formation discipline, superior speed, and continued numerical control, while the Aliens remained vulnerable to gaps and slower defensive reactions. Thus, the judges awarded this room to the Templars as well.
Room 3 – Snow Forts (Templars)
The final room at Snow Forts began with TCP entering first and rapidly forming a square W, immediately displaying their superior numbers. The Aliens responded with a triangle, later executing a waterfall movement, which TCP defended well. From there, the Templars took full command of the room. After a whirlpool movement, they shifted into an angle formation that showcased their size advantage exceptionally well while giving them near-total coverage of the room’s center and sides. Sizes at this point were approximately 28-15 in favor of TCP.

Despite minor issues with AFKs creating slight messiness in one of their later V formations, the Templars never lost control. They continued to waterfall and reposition effectively, maintaining consistent tactical pressure. Both armies were again messy in the closing moments of the room. While the Aliens defended more effectively in this room than in previous rounds, they were unable to overcome TCP’s sustained room dominance and superior forms.

The performance of this room showcased TCP’s ability to maintain tactical consistency and complete room control from start to finish, sealing both the room and the overall Templars vs. Aliens battle.
Though both armies gave it their best in this Templars vs. Aliens clash, the former closed out the battle with a commanding 3-0 sweep, using their size advantage, disciplined formations, and consistent tactical pressure to control all three rooms from start to finish. While the Aliens showed moments of resistance and improvement as the battle progressed, TCP’s superior coverage and pace ultimately proved too much to overcome, sealing a decisive victory and capping off an impressive performance.
