FOUNDATIONS

The Romans were founded by Explorer7777 in 2006. It is one of the oldest armies, having a rich history and being led by several individuals over time. After a multi-year hiatus following their 2020 shutdown, the army returned in June 2025 with key figures Djgtjvgyhxgy, Zaidmai, Smurf and Ulysses Nardo joining the leadership. Nardo, a Small/Medium legend since 2017, had previously led and advised the army, briefly serving in the Water Vikings High Command before returning as leader in January 29, 2026. Alongside Znation and Csani, the army entered a new era, poised for growth and renewed influence in the S/M community.

The Teutons first rose to prominence in August 2014 as a S/M army in the Old Club Penguin Era, forged by the legendary duo Brigade3 and Earthing. Their early rise, however, faced turbulence when the EpicoLizard attempted to deface their army. Undeterred, the Teutons soon clashed with the Toast Army of Club Penguin, emerging victorious and cementing their reputation as a rising power in the community. After several years of dormancy, the army reappeared on January 18 2026, marking a notable comeback to the community. Their revival event saw active participation, reaching a troop peak of 21. Leading the renewed army with a dynamic team consisting of Justin, Alucard, Scars, and Villa, setting the stage for a new chapter in Teutons history.

Declaration of war

On 16 February 2026, the Romans declared war on the Teutons and labeled it the War of Teutonic Reckoning. In their post, they exposed the Teutons’ leadership for their actions, which included racist acts, doxxing of other CPA members, defacing servers, catfishing, and a case of multilogging.

Romans’ announcement of War in their Discord Server

On March 12 2026, the Romans declared war on the Teutons, referring to the conflict as the War of Teutonic Reckoning. In their announcement, the Romans highlighted documented actions by the Teutons’ leadership, including harassment, doxxing of community members, server defacements, discriminatory behavior, catfishing, and multilogging. The post detailed specific individuals’ conduct and previous incidents within the community, framing the conflict as a response to these publicly disclosed behaviors and marking the beginning of a formally declared confrontation between the two armies. In conclusion, the Romans reaffirmed their position and signaled their intention to act in defense of the community’s integrity and governance. The conflict proceeded under the specified terms outlined in their announcement.

However, the Teutons declined to participate in the conflict, stating in their announcement that engagement would create unnecessary drama rather than benefit the army. Instead, they emphasized maintaining the organization’s growth and stability, prioritizing internal development over involvement in external disputes.

SCHEDULED INVASIONS AND WAR ENDINGS

The first invasion took place on Club Penguin Army Battleground on Saturday, March 14, at 6:00 pm GMT. Since the Teutons had declined to participate in the war, the Romans won by default.

Club Penguin Armies reached out to Ulysses Nardo to seek their thoughts on the war.

What are the future impacts of the war?

Nardo: My hope is that this war encourages the wider Club Penguin army community to take a more careful look at who is entrusted with leadership and who is given the space to revive or represent an army. The health of the community depends on the character and conduct of the people guiding it. When individuals who act in bad faith are allowed to occupy positions of influence, the consequences rarely remain contained; they tend to ripple outward and affect everyone involved.

What is the future/present/past relationship with the opposing army

Nardo: Our relationship with the Teutons did not begin as hostile. Early on, the Romans and Teutons were neutral toward each other. At one point, there was even an attempt to bring us together. Znation explored forming an alliance between the Teutons, the Scarlet Republic, the Void Troops, and the Romans. Ugly referred to this potential alliance as the Southside Bloc, and a server was set up where the groups involved could discuss and negotiate what that alliance might look like.

The effort fell apart after an incident in the Void Troops’ main chat, where Justin publicly bullied Znation. After that exchange, Znation began considering declaring war on the Teutons. He shared those thoughts with Alucard, who then passed the information along to the Teutons and to Justin, the owner of the Southside Bloc server. Upon hearing this, Justin removed all Romans from the server. After some time passed, those war plans were abandoned and relations returned to neutrality for a while.

That neutrality eventually ended with the war that is happening now. As things stand, the Roman leadership expects the hostility between our armies to continue for the long term. From our perspective, the people currently running the Teutons have demonstrated conduct we view as deeply immoral, and we do not believe those individuals should be given a platform to lead or represent an army. Unless Mashu steps in and removes those figures from leadership, we expect the Romans and Teutons to remain enemies indefinitely.

Any additional remarks for the community?

Nardo: If I may leave the community with one final thought, it is this: the path forward for the Teutons depends on the willingness to confront what has gone wrong. I urge Mashu to take a hard look at the leadership currently guiding that army and to remove those whose actions have eroded trust and respect across the wider community. They should be replaced with people who understand what it means to lead with honor and who are capable of restoring credibility where it has been lost. Until that change is made, I ask the wider community not to associate with the Teutons. Do not fight alongside them or lend them any legitimacy. We as a community must make it clear that the Teutons’ conduct which brought about this situation is unacceptable, and that meaningful reform must take place before normal relations can resume.

With the war ending, both armies are focused towards their growth and stability. What will both armies take away from this war? Will another war arise between the armies?
