While Christmas came and went for the army community, the 2025 Legends Induction cycle keeps rolling. It is now time to reveal the results of the Community Vote.

Farewell from Orange
As was mentioned in the nomination reveal, longtime Small/Medium Army Legend Manager Orange is retiring from the position. Below are some final remarks from him:
Hello community, After so many “final” statements from myself, here comes another one! Jokes aside though, ever since I was a young penguin, I always believed reaching legend would be the pinnacle of my career. When I eventually got it, I was so honored that 4 years of hard work led to a nice little paragraph and a graphic nameplate. Years later, I returned to the community and did not like how the post Disney legend inductions were ran (from corrupt to incompetent inductions being held across a multitude of years) so I was very honored to be a part of the reformed board and system to help prevent the mistakes of the past continue into the future. Legends are always a controversial topic. It’s something that nobody will ever agree on and really that’s how it’s supposed to be. There’s been very few legends to get inducted unanimously; I’d urge you guys to look at inductions in the past and you’d be surprised to see some of the most popular and polarizing figures barely get nominated. It’s supposed to be hard and there will always be disagreement. What I am glad that we accomplished is that we built a stable foundation for legends inductions to continue and have a high standard to uphold. It’s very hard to get so many individuals with conflicting views and ideas to get in a room to vote, but despite the various different organizations that have popped up over time, it’s been a great success. As I am slowly releasing all my roles within the community for my eventually full time departure from Discord, I am glad to have served as a Committee Head for all these years. I realized it was time for me to step down when I felt that I no longer had the passion for the title that I once had. I always felt that it’s important to know when it’s time to let go and this time around, I just couldn’t get myself to care the way I once did as a child. With that being said, the committee is in good hands and I wish the best of luck to future heads!
Once again, we want to thank Orange for all the hard work he put in and congratulate him on his retirement. Hopefully he will be able to join us just for discussions in the future!
Community Vote Recap
With 2025 being the first year of the Community Vote since 2022, it is appropriate to once again go over how it works. The purpose of the Community Vote is to ensure that the community’s opinions make a tangible mark on the yearly inductions. Any nominee that receives over 50.5% affirmative votes receives a +1 vote to their official count when the Legends Committee themselves gather to vote. From December 20th through December 24th, the community voted on the nominees for the 2025 Legend Inductions cycle. Voters were required to vote ‘yes’ or ‘no’ when asked if they thought the nominee should be inducted as a Legend. They also had the option of explaining their votes.
Total Ballots & Discarded Ballots
Upon the closure of votes, the Committee Heads- DMT and Iceyfeet1234– went through all the ballots to ensure that the voters sent a Discord direct message to them, which was required to confirm their vote. 7 votes were discarded because a message was not sent to confirm their ballot. There were also a few instances of armies advertising the form in improper ways.

In the Shadow Legionnaires Discord server, potential voters were linked to the form and encouraged to vote for specific individuals. This was advised against in the original post:
While armies and nominees are allowed to promote the form to their communities, they must not dictate to individuals how they must vote. This includes but is not limited to:
- Saying to vote yes for a certain nominee[s]
- Saying to vote no for a certain nominee[s]
- Creating a ‘sample ballot’ for individuals to follow
Because of this, the heads found it appropriate to remove two votes that copied the exact suggestions given from the SL Discord.

In the Elite Guardians Discord server, potential voters were asked to vote for Ghostt. This was also advised against in the original post, as seen above. It must be noted that, due to the original message being in Portuguese, it is possible that the translation provided was not exact and could misconstrue what was being said in the message. Nevertheless, armies should not bring up individuals in their announcements, unless it is simply to state that they were nominated or to congratulate them on said nomination. Fortunately, no votes were found to be influenced by this message.
A good example of how to advertise the Community Vote is shown below, credit to the Water Vikings Discord server:

Note: It is not the top three that gets a +1 vote- rather- anyone that crosses the 50.5% threshold gets a +1 vote.
In all, 78 ballots were received from the community. This surpasses the total number of submissions received for the Community Nominee system last year, as well as the year before. Appropriately, the final number of valid ballots came to be 69.
Nice.
Results
In years prior, the only figures that were revealed were those that passed the threshold of required votes. In the interest of data-tracking purposes, the percentage of ‘yes’ votes received for each nominee are shown below.
Major Nominations:

Congratulations to Bestpenguin for receiving a whopping 50/69 affirmative votes! The 72.5% percentage is the second highest recorded in the CPPS era, only behind RPF Leader and Legends Committee member Crazzy, who received 74.7% yes votes in 2020. Remember though, the Community Vote is only the first step in the Legends Inductions Cycle. All nominees still have the chance to get inducted as the Legends Committee takes these votes into consideration and gears up to vote themselves.
What Comes Next
Discussions for the Legends Committee are already underway; the first official meeting took place on December 28th. This meeting primarily focused on the major nominees, with a second meeting set to take place on January 3rd, 2026 to focus on the small/medium nominees. Typically, a third meeting is also held shortly after to revisit candidates that the committee deems needing more discussion time.
Following this, committee members will be given three days to submit their ballots. Then, the votes will be tallied by the Committee Heads and the results will be published not long after. Currently, the targeted date for the release of the results is Friday, January 9th, 2026. However, pending when the meetings conclude, the results could be published sooner or later.
In any event, we want to thank the community for showing up for the Community Vote! We were thrilled to see an increased number in submissions and many ballots that responded to the optional feedback/justification form. Some of those testimonials have already been used in official discussions, another way that we hope the community continues to get involved with. However, we’re not all satisfied with 69 votes. In 2022, a total of 190 votes were submitted, with 130 deemed valid. Thus, we will continue to make community engagement a top priority for future induction cycles. All that being said, we’ll see you in a couple weeks!
