Christmas is getting closer, with only 20 days remaining until it starts. This is the fifth edition of the special Christmas column, which includes historical information and challenges to the community.

INTRODUCTION
Like the previous one, this issue is divided into 4 sections, with the first one being the introduction. As mentioned in the Christmas 2025 @ CPA, the posts of this column will include the “This Day in History” of the day, as well as the daily challenge to the community. There will also be a fun fact at the end of the post.
This day in history – December 5
Golden Warriors Return to Golden Troops
In 2011, on December 5, the Golden Warriors changed their name back to Golden Troops after previously changing it. Golden Troops was a powerful army, especially during the summer of that year, and was able to secure a number 1 spot in the Top Ten. Though because of a major fall, their army was dead. Hoping to bring the army back to its glory, the GT leaders revived one of the armies that merged in order to create GT, called Golden Warriors. This comeback proved to be worthless, as GW finished in tenth place. But the inevitable happened: the troops of this army once again became inactive and failed to attend events.
In order to fix this, GT reopened with a new leader on the board, Billy Mays, a former Nachos leader. They introduced new graphics, changes to the ranks and the leadership.
The Army Republic Declares War on Kings
On December 5, 2016, Club Penguin Armies Central posted a post on their website, regarding a new war in the community. On December 3, the Army Republic declared war on the Kings. Their leader, Sai, released a post where he stated they declared war on the Kings and the reasons for this war. Sai stated he didn’t hate the army, but it held their most historic servers, including Kings’ capital, the Sheep. He also said that AR tried to negotiate with them, but after months and months, this didn’t work. After all this, Zach, the Kings’ leader, replied to Sai’s post, saying that they are trying to steal their most important servers and that the negotiating part is a lie. However, the Kings shut down on 8 December, which gave the victory to the Army Republic.

You have 7 days to complete it. Make sure to message a screenshot showing that you completed the challenge to one of the following people: Edu14463, Jojo Teri, Kazoo, Kiltanon, Tulip, Yeeter, Zooy. Completing any of the 24 Challenges will grant you the basic participation role. Additionally, successfully finishing at least 4 of this week’s challenges will grant you the competitor role. If you complete all 7 of this week’s challenges, though, you will receive the Challenge Master role. The highest tier reward will be given to the people who complete all 24 challenges. They will be allowed to add a preferred emoji to the server, as long as it adheres to the server rules.
Fun Fact
Void Troops, in its short history of seven months, has been served by ten leaders. While they had so many leaders in a short time, armies like Aliens only had twelve leaders until now, in a history of a few years, being opened in 2018 and shut down in 2020, reopening in 2024. This shows the Void Troops has confidence in their staff members, and gives them the chance to lead the army if they are performing well, with their hard work being rewarded.
