On October 13, the community welcomed back the Phantom Republic following almost a year of inactivity. This follows a mass exodus of the Thunder Troops and several war declarations.

Phantom Beginnings
The Phantom Republic was founded on October 25, 2024, being formed out of the Nether Knights. Only one day following their opening, PRCP declared war on the Rebel Alliance Commando following rising tensions. Phantom Republic leader Zez confirmed they declared war, fearing RAC was intending to declare on them, which leader Mark0600 went on to confirm.
Following the conclusion of The War of Special Siege, in which the Republic lost 8-0-2, they would go on to close their doors on November 2. This would be the last time the community heard from PRCP, until now, on the eve of their first anniversary.

The Republic Returns
Over the past 48 hours, the Republic hosted its revival event, at which they maxed out 8. Following this, they went on to register with Club Penguin Armies. The next day, PRCP declared war on the newly founded Witches of Club Penguin. Following the Witches’ immediate surrender, the People’s Imperial Confederation would go on to declare war on the Phantom Republic.
PRCP’s return follows the closure of the Thunder Troops, a newly revived army, which consisted of much of the current leadership and High Command of the Republic.

What prompted the revival of the Phantom Republic?
vets were talking abt it for a while tryna host a 1 year anniversary ceremony (which is coming up). Since TT was shutting down either way we decided the TT leadership would start fresh under the PRCP name to continue the legacy
You mention TT shutting down. What led to that circumstance? And would you describe this timing as fortunate?
coincidentally, PRCP’s one year anniversary was coming up and vets had been talking about it. TT was already shutting down due to unrelated internal issues, so we decided that the TT leadership / hcom would move to prcp under a new leadership structure
Interesting, how do you feel this new leadership structure you mentioned will benefit the army?
we definitely have more experienced people leading the army, as well as vet support. The former TT leaders are prcp HCOM as of now so they can learn and lead future generations after myself and photo step down, instead of throwing them straight into the deep end. At the end of the day, the new leadership structure is more sustainable for the long term to ensure that this generation has a lasting legacy

Evidently, the return of the Phantom Republic has stirred up some conflict in the community. With war brewing and the upcoming October Horrors tournament on the horizon, we can expect a lot from the Republic. What do you think of this army’s return? How will their war with PIC conclude? Will they go on to thrive, or have a lifespan similar to their first generation?
