On October 1, the recently revived Water Troops declared war on the Special Weapons and Tactics. Today, we look at the events leading up to this declaration, and the aftermath.

SWAT Lie low
Over the past few months, the Special Weapons and Tactics have been keeping a low profile, despite engaging in several wars. Most notably, the Romans engaged in a scintillating off-map clash against SWAT, and before that, the Agents faced off against the Void Troops. Although they frequently find themselves in conflict, SWAT manages to escape any major controversy, especially when we consider recent events in the community.
Other recent diplomatic events for the Agents include their alliance with Fire Vikings, strengthening their position in the Small/Medium army landscape. When we look back upon SWAT’s recent events, it is difficult to see what reasons an army such as the Water Troops would have for declaring on them.
Recent Events
The Water Troops held their revival event on September 30, registering with Club Penguin Armies the following day. However, the newly revived army has already made a splash in the army scene. Only hours after reopening, WT declared war upon SWAT, with little to no reasoning.
These two armies have had very limited interactions over the years, with no formal conflicts or diplomacy between them. This declaration of war has shocked the community, pitting two of the most historic armies against each other.
In an effort to uncover more information on why WT declared war, Club Penguin Armies reached out to Water Troops leader Raven for a statement.
Why did you decide to go to war so soon after opening, and what are your hopes for this war?
SWAT is an army that should be closed, i hope to prove and prolong this war until they realise this. So the goal is to make them shut down
To gain insight into SWAT’s perspective, Club Penguin Armies also reached out to WilliamW2010.
Obviously, this war comes as a shock to you, with WT only registering today, but are you hopeful going into this war? How do you think SWAT will perform?
I am hopeful. They’re something of our caliber and forgot to set a lose condition.
In summary, this war is sure to be an interesting one, as both of these armies are looking for a chance to prove themselves. But who will come out victorious? Will the newly revived Water Troops triumph? Will SWAT claim victory? What do you think?
