The fifteenth Legends Cup officially begins this month, with the Baccarat Qualifiers kicking off on July 19th. As the tournament heats up, we examine which armies prepare to advance in the upcoming battles, with multiple adversaries ready to leave their imprint.

The Legends Cup is one of the most lionized and noble tournaments in the history of Club Penguin Armies, with its first iteration held in 2010. Oagalthorp, often regarded as the father of Club Penguin Armies and the creator of the Army of Club Penguin, originally theorized the Legends Cup, and Club Penguin Army Central later customarily established it. Over the years, different armies have collectively upheld this tradition by claiming the tournament title each time. This year, more than 13 armies are participating, with four of them in the Baccarat Qualifiers: the Void Troops, Fire Vikings, Water Vikings, and the Scarlet Republic.

Club Penguin Armies contacted distinct members, well active and part of the community, for their anticipations on which armies will compete against each other and who will triumph in each battle.
Void Troops vs. Fire Vikings
Overview
The Void Troops and Fire Vikings will face off on the 19th of July at 3 PM EST. This battle is considered distinct, as both armies share no mutual history. The Void Troops have had a successful run in a short period, winning a decisive practice battle against the Help Force. They also won a war against the Doritos of Club Penguin, an army facing internal issues and complexities.
The Void Troops were also seen as a formidable challenger in the Around The World Cup II. In the case of the Fire Vikings, not much has been seen on their side. Recently, they were overpowered by the mighty Templars, who are currently regarded as another strong contender in the community. The community saw the resignation of Zuj0t as a leader. Nonetheless, both armies aim to strive for excellence as they step onto the Legends Cup battlefield.
Silverburg, Army Legend: I believe the Void Troops should be able to secure a comfortable 3-0 victory. They’re a new army but have very experienced staff like Ugly and Lia who could end up pushing VT very far in the tournament.
Cobra, S/M Army Legend: Honestly, it’s going to be a really hard fought battle on both and I think the possibility of it going either way is definitely there. That being said: Void Troops 3-0-0. They might just barely edge out the clean sweep. VT will definitely max more, and I think that alone can secure a win, all jokes aside.
Diwix, Editor-in Chief: I’m confident that Void Troops will win. This is because their leader, Kira, is worth 5 times as much as a normal penguin, which will be an overwhelming force for the Fire Vikings. This way, they will dominate and win their battle. Score will be 3-0-0
Logical, Void Troops Leader: fv v vt is easy VT 3-0 the fv leader just retired out of fear, he did not wanna face the mighty void troops
Aucraia, Moderator: VT wins 2-1-1 overtime. Both armies have potential but VT has grown rapidly, has more “firepower” and takes the edge.
Satchmo, 3rd Anniversary Champion: Now regarding the Fire Vikings vs Void Troops matchup, I strongly believe the only Logical answer is a Void Troops dub. They just won the war and I think the hype from their win will help them max even more than they did in any battle against Fire Vikings
WATER VIKINGS VS. Scarlet Republic
Overview
We are witnessing yet another distinct and spicy mix in the qualifier battles and those two are: Water Vikings and the Scarlet Republic. Starting off with the Water Vikings, they have proved themselves as a powerhouse in the army community. In recent times, they pulled off strong sizes during crucial events, which will help them advance in the tournament. The Water Vikings secured second place in the recent Top Ten, averaging 67.56 points – an impressive number that highlights how effectively WV has acted as a power forward.
In the case of the Scarlet Republic, they also experienced decent but fruitful success in their run. They reached the finals of Around the World Cup II, where they competed against the Templars in the Small/Medium division but ultimately lost. Much earlier, they faced VT in a practice battle, which ultimately ended in VT’s favor despite two ties.
Silverburg, Army Legend: The Water Vikings have been on a tremendous rise recently, reaching sizes only rivalled by RPF. Once they secure a 3-0 win against SR, I can see them potentially winning their first Legends Cup under Cobra’s brilliant leadership and experience
Cobra, S/M Army Legend: WV 3-0-0. I think this is a possibility if the judging isn’t against us, like we saw in that one Aliens-WV battle. WV, I would like to assume since I’m leading it, will probably max more and will win by size alone, all jokes aside.
Diwix, Editor-in Chief: The Water Vikings will be victorious. With their recent surge in activity and boost in community, they’ve proven themselves a force to be reckoned with. SR has not been hitting high numbers recently, paving an easy path to victory for the Vikings. It’ll be an easy 3-0-0 win for them.
Logical, Void Troops Leader: sr v wv is also a clear wv sweep as they have been prepping for lc for months and sr is in a building phase currently
Aucraia, Moderator: WV wins 3-0-0 due to their overall performance and experience. I’ve seen them battle multiple times and I think they sweep this one.
Satchmo, 3rd Anniversary Champion: Water Vikings will definitely beat out Scarlet Republic. That’s not a question at all. They just maxed 45 at their “X Gon’ Give It To Ya” event. They have risen greatly the past few months and I think they can make a small run in the tournament. I’d also love to give a shoutout to Aliens. I know they are part of the Jackpot Conference but they are my heavy favorite to win the entire tournament. I LOVE YOU BP YOU GOT THIS SHIT IN THE BAG DAWG. They have been the most exciting army to watch on the Top Ten the past few months. They are a very quiet army, no wars, but they have done so much despite that. They are coming off a ATWC win and Vegas has them running at a +150 odds to win it all. LETS GOO ALIENS. I’d also love to shout out my mom for giving birth to me so I could be part of this interview and brownie from DCP for recruiting me into armies almost 6 years ago. THE TICKLE MONSTER WILL RISE AGAIN
This year’s Legends Cup promises new unpredictability and excitement as the participating armies start on a shared quest for glory.
