A New Star Rises: Star Force Opens Doors

This summer, a new army enters the scene. Star Force opens, and we got the inside scoop on who they are and what they have in store.

A creation that has been in the works for upwards of six months, Star Force recently began operations. SF founder, Fun X Time, as a previous long-time leader of the Special Weapons and Tactics, and a recent member of the Aliens higher command, has good experience in the current army scene—be it in the small/medium or major army community.

On June 15, the army held their opening event, reaching a commendable size of 18. After a quick opening ceremony, the army officially registered in the Club Penguin Armies league. Following further research, we discovered the origins of the Star Force.

As reported to CPA, the idea began after various different scenarios unfolded in SWAT recently, including retirements and defacements, which led to many SWAT members departing the army. According to the Star Force creator, these members agreed to form a group known as the Missionaries of the Stars. He stated that, at first, these members temporarily enlisted in the Aliens for training and to help with recruiting efforts. Once their training was deemed “complete”, the Star Force opened, officially, and MotS disbanded.

Notably, the Star Force has formed an alliance with the Aliens following their opening event.

As Star Force opens, we get a deeper look at what this newfound army has planned, and we reached out to Fun X Time for an interview.

Congratulations on the launch of Star Force! What inspired you to create a new army in today’s CPA scene?

Thank you! Star Force is no simple project. Since my inception in the Club Penguin army community in 2020, I have had the desire to lay the foundation of a powerful, innovative army. The army community has not been receiving armies that have been built entirely from scratch these days. SF uses veterans from the army community to a minimum, and tends to search for fresh recruits. When I resigned from Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT), I knew that I could finally fulfill my goal. I gained significant training at the Aliens of Club Penguin for the next few months, finally being able to launch the SF.

What kind of identity or theme does Star Force aim to establish for itself?

When the base of Star Force was laid on December 25, 2024, I knew I had to come up with creativity to make this army unique. My army came up with the idea of Visions. With four important visions as the baseline, building the army would become easier, and its maintenance would be more efficient. You won’t easily find uniqueness in the army community. Furthermore, Star Force is an Elite Penguin Force-themed “agency”, where all its members could be seen as stars. To some, the name might feel it is cosmic, but it is not really inclined to space. Rather, it is inclined to stars being the principal spirit of energy in our army. However, we now accept being attributed to the stars of the night sky, too.

Founding a new army comes with its challenges; What obstacles did you face early on?

That is correct. The Star Force did require consistent recruiting over the past few weeks to find a few recruits before we could open. We are continuing these efforts, but we do not expect quick results, especially considering this army is being built from scratch. Right now, we’re looking for a strong staff team, and we’re waiting for positions to fill up.

What are your short-term goals for the army in its first month? What about long-term goals for later on?

For now, we’re questioning our participation in the Legends Cup X, since we recently opened. We’ll be prioritizing fun events and recruitment, as it is too early to begin with quality training. Later on, we’ll foster more relationships and project for the army map. We’ll then participate in tournaments. We are not interested in the Top Ten at all, at the moment.

Do you see the army becoming a major force in the community, or would you like to keep it simple for now?

Currently, Star Force’s hard work deserves a good amount of attention due to its great creativity, organized structure, and morale. While creating an army from scratch doesn’t instantly bring progress, we should be able to gradually improve in a few months. Let’s try to keep it a little simple for now, and we could become one of the major forces of the army community later.

How are you planning on approaching recruitment and growth, considering the community doesn’t have many active people to hire these days?

Recruitment and growth are already being seen, thanks to our interim staff members. We’re approaching it very well, and we’re already working on a powerful digital, interactive, open-source guidebook that provides more insights on recruiting and other aspects of the army. If the army community doesn’t have enough net troops to hire, the amount of net recruits could simply be increased. SF could be a driving force of this change in a few months.

Do you have any alliances, or maybe even rivalries, in mind?

Star Force is in active discussion with an army, looking forward to an alliance. We’re ready to accept peace with another army, and we’re certainly not looking for rivalry or war at the moment. Additionally, there should be no reason for any war to take place against us at the moment.

How do you think Star Force can stand out in the community?

Star Force is going to stand out for its uniqueness, creativity, and innovation. We are pioneering crazy ideas and bringing them into the army world! Moreover, Club Penguin isn’t going to be our only priority as an army. Most armies are mostly or entirely Club Penguin-themed, which isn’t what recruits would want to see.

Any message you’d like to share with the wider community as Star Force begins its journey?

Certainly! The Star Force is ready for an exciting journey ahead. The road may be long, but the destination is truly worth it. I want to remind the army community that it’s possible to build an army entirely from scratch. You don’t always need support from veterans of a previous generation to succeed. Star Force is beginning with a very positive image and has been well-received by the community, so I hope to see continued good sportsmanship. For now, all the stars are closer!

It is clear that Fun X Time and his members are highly motivated and excited for the future of Star Force. Along his experience in armies, and recent endeavours in the Aliens—a currently shining major army— there is great anticipation for the future of the Star Force. What do you think? How will SF fare? Will this star come to shine, or will it quickly burn out?
