The second installment of Around the World Cup II is in full force. As armies gear up for another high-stakes tournament, anticipation and pressure are beginning to rise. The tournament was created with a unique format, allowing the community to step away from the regular tournament formats. This allowed armies to embrace new, creative, and innovative tournament formats while providing them with new challenges. The first match of the tournament took place on Saturday, May 17, featuring Special Weapons & Tactics, The Bastille Vanguard, and the Void Troops. The second match followed on Sunday, May 18, with the Fire Vikings facing off against the Penguins of Agartha and the Valiant Azure Knights.
Special Weapons & Tactics VS. The Bastille Vanguard VS. Void Troops
The qualifiers round started with VT entering the mines first, followed by TBV. SWAT was nowhere to be seen. This made the sizes 14-4-0 for VT. The Void Troops had a size advantage, evident in their forms. VT then created a plus, whereas TBV formed a horizontal line. However, despite VT’s size, they struggled to space out properly and stuck close together instead. SWAT then entered, but did not do a lot as they were mostly AFK. Due to the Void Troops having better forms and a better speed, they won the room.
Throughout the next room, TBV and VT were seen to battle more equally. Despite this, SWAT still did not take much initiative and was inactive. As time went on, both armies took turns dominating the room and activity. This led to the second room being a tie between VT and TBV. During the last room, VT was able to stand out again. In contrast to the sizes being close for VT and TBV, the Vanguard was messier and held from a slower pace. As the room went on, TBV picked up their pace too late since the Void Troops had dominated the room once again. This made the Void Troops the first winner of the Qualifiers.

Fire Vikings VS. penguins of agartha VS. valiant azure knights
To start the battle off, FV entered first. As POA followed, it soon became clear VAK did not show up. The sizes started with 7 – 3 for FV. Both armies appeared to be slow and unsynchronized. The room did not go well for either side. However, FV was a little faster and more awake. Therefore, room 1 goes to the Vikings. In the following room, the armies did not improve. As seen in room 1, both were slow and not as active. Neither army had an opportunity to stand out, and therefore the room ended in a tie.
The last room began with POA entering, and the Vikings being almost a minute late. Despite FV’s poor performance, they kept a decent size. They took a while to create formations. However, due to having a better size and performance, they still managed to come out on top. Despite this, POA did not give up easily as they managed to have a good completion and tactics.

Concluding these battles, it has become clear that most armies did not go down without a fight. Congratulations on the Void Troops and Fire Vikings for winning the Qualifiers round and advancing to the Group Stages, which will start on May 27. Let us see what the future battles will bring to these armies. Did you expect this outcome? How do you think the Group Stage will unfold?
