Welcome to This Day in History, a column dedicated to exploring moments in army history. In this edition, we are taking a closer look at World War Rewritten. What caused it, how it continued, and the major conflicts that defined it

THE cause OF the WORLD WAR
World War Rewritten officially began on April 24th, 2020, almost exactly five years ago. The first day: it all started from an anonymous figure who went by the name TheManWithThePlan. Out of nowhere, this figure launched a website that exposed private conversations from the Army of Club Penguin leadership, staff, and Higher Command. These screenshots showed ACP’s Higher Command members discussing other major armies like Rebel Penguin Federation, Help Force, and Club Penguin Army Media, which was the main platform covering army news at the time. As you’d expect, the leaks stirred up a ton of drama.

THE START OF THE WORLD WAR
Within three days, tensions reached a boiling point, and RPF officially declared war on ACP, laying out clear terms for their declaration. Conversely, ACP argued that RPF was essentially targeting a smaller army and attempting to prevent it from receiving support from its allies. In response, one of ACP’s close allies, Chaos, declared war on RPF as well. Soon after, the Kings of CPR jumped into the conflict by declaring war on RPF, saying that they wanted to help their allies.
THE CONTINUITY OF THE WORLD WAR
The war escalated on April 28th, when the first four battles happened. RPF invaded Mammoth, while Chaos attacked RPF’s servers Deep Freeze and Beanie. Just a day later, even more armies started getting involved. Warlords of Kosmos declared war on Chaos to help RPF, while the People’s Imperial Confederation went after ACP. ACP quickly returned fire, declaring war on PIC, too. Amid all the chaos, the Lime Green Army declared war on ACP and transferred all their servers to RPF.

Battle of Mammoth
Then, one of the intense moments of the war came: ACP and Chaos teamed up to invade Tuxedo, RPF’s capital. This battle turned out to be massive, with over 250 penguins from ten different armies logging on. It became one of the biggest clashes in the Club Penguin Private Server era. Notably, both sides claimed victory.
The next day had two more battles. ACP and Chaos kept pushing their offensive against RPF, while WOK responded by going after Chaos.

Battle of Tuxedo
As the battles continued, even more armies jumped into the war. The Pizza Federation declared war on RPF, standing by ACP in the conflict. Around the same time, Help Force made their move, officially declaring war on ACP, saying they can not stay on the sidelines any longer. But the unexpected twist came from the Recon Federation of Club Penguin. Out of nowhere, they declared war on RPF, siding with ACP.
Later, the Kings of CPR popped back into the spotlight by declaring war on WOK, which marked the end of April 30th.
THE END OF THE World war
On the final day of the war, RPF, HF, and WOK each launched invasions on Chaos, attacking one server apiece. In response, WOK also declared war on PZF. But after four days of nonstop battles, it was clear that all armies were growing tired.
Eventually, ACP and RPF, the two main forces at the center of the conflict, agreed to cut off the fighting and signed a treaty to prevent any future wars between them. That same day, WOK and Chaos also agreed to end hostilities and even formed an alliance. Help Force reached a ceasefire with ACP, while Chaos made peace with RPF, officially recognizing them as the winners of the war.
At the end, PIC and ACP ended their conflict, too, bringing a rare moment of calm to the army scene, at least for a little while.
CONCLUSION
Many armies participated in the WWR, and it was impressive how they all kept up with the battles. What do you think of this World War? Which was the most intense moment in the World War for you? What other wars do you think match this one’s magnitude?
