Welcome to Leaving A Legacy, a column dedicated to honoring the successes of outstanding individuals who have made it into an army’s Hall of Fame. Today, we take a look at Cosmo, a familiar name throughout the Rebel Penguin Federation’s history. From his strategic leadership to his continued remembrance through RPF culture, Cosmo has a legacy of glory and evolution.

The Genesis Of Cosmo
Cosmo started his journey in 2017 when he enlisted in the Rebel Penguin Federation. Unlike most troops who are invited into RPF, Cosmo recalls hearing about Club Penguin Rewritten on social media. His first contact with the Rebels was during the Operation Blackout party. The next year, he moved up the ranks, eventually claiming Second-in-Command in 2018. In this position, he helped create one of the most powerful AUSIA divisions the army had ever seen, consistently pulling sizes of 80+, which was a rarity at the time.

The Turbulent First Leadership
In 2019, Cosmo reached the top of RPF’s rank ladder when he was promoted to Rebel Commander, the army’s highest position. It was not what many think of as the kind of dream that comes when you reach the top. He shared the burden of a rank with the more experienced co-leaders, Silverburg and Queenieliz. This would create a struggle, rather than a sense of unity. The leadership trio had conflicts, leaving Cosmo in the middle of it. While there were internal issues, he still contributed and left a footprint in those three months. His accomplishments brought him the RPF Hero award. Most people would have thought he would become a memory after his resignation, but Cosmo was not yet done.

The Resurgence
When Cosmo rejoined the Rebel Penguin Federation at the end of 2019, he started as a Fourth-in-Command. For some, it might have been a humbling reset, but for Cosmo, it was a chance to prove himself on his terms. By April 2020, he was promoted once again to Rebel Commander. For a month, he solo-led RPF, finally making decisions without the friction of shared leadership. Soon after, he promoted Crazzy as co-leader, one of his most impactful moves. Together, they ushered in one of RPF’s most dominant eras, fighting the Army of Club Penguin in World War Rewritten and co-founding the Black Ice Alliance. Under Cosmo’s captaincy, RPF hit a peak of 162 penguins online and swept every major tournament in 2020, including Legends Cup X, Fright or Fight, and Christmas Chaos X.

The Mark of Honor
On February 28, 2021, Cosmo officially relinquished his role as Rebel Commander, capping off a leadership span characterized by unparalleled accomplishments of the Rebel Penguin Federation. Within three days of his resignation, on March 3, 2021, he was awarded the honor of RPF Legend. This distinction, which is RPF’s highest sign of achievement, is awarded to those who have achieved the most during the Army’s great history.
His induction to the Hall of Fame spoke a lot about the justifiably transformative accomplishments he had achieved in the army, including an entirely new record-breaking AUSIA division with a troop size greater than the army had ever seen, and leading RPF to several undefeated tournament victories. His accomplishments will continue to inspire many generations of rebels who desire to do more in any aspect, to remain vigilant and committed to RPF.

Club Penguin Armies tried to contact Cosmo for an exclusive interview. Unfortunately, he politely refused.
Cosmo’s leadership was instrumental in defining one of the most influential periods in RPF’s history that included tactical genius, a record number of triumphs, and an unmistakable sense of unity and fortitude. From being a young commander struggling in the context of teamed leadership, to returning as a solo commander, to being a direct reincarnation of RPF’s leadership in conjunction with the Black Ice Alliance, Cosmo illustrated that effective leadership comes through challenge and principle. How will future commanders rise to meet the standard Cosmo set? What lessons can we draw from his evolution?
