Armies as Squid Games: Season 2 Characters

Squid Games has had a grip on many viewers since the airing of its first season in 2021. In many ways, the conflict and high stakes are comparable to the drama of Club Penguin Armies, so let us explore which character from Squid Games: Season Two each army represents.

Army of Club Penguin – Player 456, Seong Gi-hun

ACP has played these games before

Though most armies can say “I have played these games before,” the Army of Club Penguin is one of the armies that just keeps on playing them. They have had a very long history in this particular game and came out on top in last year‘s Top Ten Armies of the Year. The Clovers have faced several threats recently that they are more than familiar with, but will they be able to persevere, or will they succumb to the pressure of the games?

Doritos of Club Penguin – Player 100, Im Jeong-dae

“One more game!”

The Doritos of Club Penguin saw a revival last year, carrying on the army’s legacy 15 years after its founding, and they have been an incredibly dominant force since. Eager for a fight, they have recently gone on a warring spree, causing multiple armies to surrender to them. This culminated in a long-anticipated war with ACP, which they lost through the breaking of terms. Have the Doritos been satiated yet, or will we see them call for several more games like Player 100?

Help Force – Player 388, Kang Dae-ho

Dae-ho shows loyalty throughout the games

The Help Force is more than physically capable of taking on a challenge, and the army’s coordination reflects the Marine’s skills at gonggi. That being said, they are not a huge player when it comes to aggression. They will take part in wars, and have experience to boast about, but have recently been more focused on showing their loyalty to their allies, such as in the Brotherly Love War. Will we see HF and Dae-ho rise as bigger threats this year, or will their combat experience be left in the past?

Aliens – Player 120, Cho Hyun-ju

Hyun-ju shows off her military background

Though the Aliens are taking a different path to most armies, like Hyun-ju they have become a well-liked figure among their friends. The Aliens have been underestimated in the past but showed their strength by making it to the Semi-finals of Christmas Chaos after defeating the formidable Templars. Who knows, maybe they used to be in the special forces too, like Player 120?

Special Weapons and Tactics – Player 230, Choi “Thanos” Su-bong

Thanos is doing his own thing throughout the games

The Special Weapons and Tactics are certainly a well-known name in CPA, much like the legendary Thanos. Both are capable of living up to expectations, but recently it seems like every time you look at them they are doing something unusual. Dancing in the middle of the arena, forgetting to change rooms, singing at various people, and having frequent leadership crises. Which one is SWAT, and which one is Thanos? That being said, SWAT can still be a deadly threat, and its new leaders have the experience to make that happen. Regardless, I do not think we will see this army quit any time soon.

Elite Guardians of Club Penguin – Player 333, Lee Myung-gi

EGCP and Myung-gi have made multiple enemies throughout their history

The Elite Guardians are rather infamous in the CPPS era of armies, being the subject of more controversies than can be counted. Like crypto-scammer Lee Myung-gi, EGCP have made enemies with many armies over the years and now operates in a more isolationist fashion. Still in CPA with many of their former enemies, will the newest generation of EGCP stay out of trouble, or will trouble continue to find them?

Rebel Penguin Federation – Player 149, Jang Geum-ja

RPF and Player 149 are fierce players

The Rebel Penguin Federation are an old army, but despite being more withdrawn nowadays, remain a fierce force. Jang Geum-ja is a no-nonsense contestant during Squid Games. Despite making her negative opinions clear, she often shows her caring nature as well. The Rebels may not be as war-hungry as other Major armies, but on the battlefield, they use their years of wisdom to their advantage.

Smart Penguins – Player 001, Hwang In-ho

Could Smart Penguins be the Front Man of CPA?

It makes sense, right? Hwang In-ho is the Front Man who emerged from the shadows to play the games by Gi-hun’s side. The Smart Penguin use the power of brains and intellect to make themselves a strong Small/Medium army. I believe they are the only army with the brainpower necessary to orchestrate such elaborate schemes, and they must be the major villain of CPA in 2025 as a result. It has been years since their last generation, and in this time they have worked their way into power behind the scenes. Superhero123? No, Supervillain123.

The third season of Squid Games is on its way, and then we will be able to see whether these armies continue to match up with their characters. Which character resonates the most with you? Do you agree with these placements? Which army would win the Squid Games?
