After 17 days of war between the People’s Imperial Confederation and Dark Pirates of Club Penguin, the latter surrendered. Let’s look back and investigate what happened during this conflict.

BACKGROUND to the pic dpc conflict
On January 15, 2025, the People’s Imperial Confederation declared war on the Dark Pirates of Club Penguin. This was only a few weeks after DPC reopened their doors on December 27, 2024. The army, at the time, was led by founders Ninja Leader and DefenderTide, alongside new face Yellow Typer.

A STRANGE WAR
The first war battle took place on January 19, 2025. Unfortunately, DPC performed quite poorly. Unable to achieve a max of 10, this battle was automatically forfeited, resulting in a win for the People’s Imperial Confederation. On January 24 we witnessed another battle. Unlike the previous battle, however, PIC was unable to get 10 penguins on the battle, resulting in an automatic DPC win. There were a few other battles, however were no-shows.
A war battle between PIC and DPC
On January 27, the war unofficially ended due to an agreement between PIC and DPC leadership. On January 29, Scars made an announcement in the PIC Discord server, addressing the lack of activity in the war, with them as official victors. This marks the end of the Pirate Purge Campaign.

Club Penguin Armies reached out to Yellow Typer, DPC leader, and Scars, PIC Leader, to learn more about their thoughts on the war.
How did you find the DPC and PIC war? Was it fun?
Yellow Typer: Yeah the war was lit fr. I’m glad we had this friendly war and hope to never have anymore conflicts in the future.
Scars: When declaring, both sides were aware that this would be a friendly war as we had discussed it beforehand. This led to the series of battles not to be taken to seriously or leaving any hard feelings behind. The war, though shortly lived, was still fun though; both of us got some training in and were able to get good battle practice.
Did you see yourself winning the war?
Yellow Typer: No
Scars: I did think that we would win the war. Going into it, I knew that everyone was ready to win and were at their bests. On top of that, we just have more experience so I was very sure in our abilities.
Did you expect to max more than you did?
Yellow Typer: I mean we did max 8 so nah. Not till the army gets fully alive again.
Scars: I definitely did. Leading up to the war, we were maxing in the 20s. I’m a little disappointed in how we progressed throughout the battles max-wise but it happends; we’ll continue to improve and do better next time around.
Clearly, this war was perplexing, however, what comes next for the two armies? As we see the PIC launch into another war against the Special Weapons and Tactics, can we expect the same from the Dark Pirates? But what do you think? Was this war enjoyable to spectate?
