The top teams continue to dominate as the Quarterfinals of Christmas Chaos XIV come to a close. The stage is now set for a thrilling set of battles in the Semi-finals. Let us take a look at how the action unfolded.
Army of Club Penguin vs. People’s Imperial Confederation
The battle between the Army of Club Penguin and the People’s Imperial Confederation turned into a showcase of ACP’s dominance as PIC failed to show up. ACP entered the room with a strong showing of 40 penguins, starting with a bomb and transitioning into creative formations like a V with a vertical and an underlined plus. Despite the lack of opposition, ACP maintained high energy and executed tactics with enthusiasm, including heart formation. With their impressive size and solid formations, the judges awarded the win to ACP.
Winner: Army of Club Penguin
Doritos of Club Penguin vs. Help Force
The battle between the Doritos and Help Force highlighted creativity but was dominated by the Doritos’ overwhelming size advantage. Their size left the Help Force with no real chance to seize the battle despite their strong tactical showing at times.
In Room 1, Help Force entered first with a backward L, while the Doritos formed a triangle with a line. Both formations appeared messy, but the Doritos’ size of 64-30 allowed them to dominate visually. Help Force shifted to a V, but the Doritos’ bomb heavily covered their tactics, securing control of the room. In Room 2, Help Force entered with a UT, while the Doritos countered with an underlined plus formation. Help Force displayed neat formations like a UV, but the Doritos’ size of 62-30 overshadowed them. The Doritos bombed effectively, covering the Help Force’s tactics and maintaining dominance despite occasional form gaps. In Room 3, the Doritos started with a triangle, while Help Force entered with a UT formation. Both armies bombed, but the Doritos had several AFKs, allowing Help Force’s waterfall to briefly cover them. However, the Doritos recovered and transitioned into an X with a circle, overshadowing Help Force’s plus. Despite some messy formations, the Doritos’ size and heavy coverage secured victory across all three rooms.
Winner: Doritos of Club Penguin
REBEL PENGUIN FEDERATION VS. THE BASTILLE VANGUARD
Considering the high sizes of the Rebels, against the little troops that the Vanguardists brought to the battlefield – what was showcased in a constant 40-15 troop rate throughout the battle – the outcome was not surprising. Besides the overwhelming size advantage, the Rebel Penguin Federation flawlessly showed their dominance and grace with neat formations and fast tactics. Unfortunately for them, The Bastille Vanguard could not make any move to counter the aggressiveness of the Federation.
Winner: Rebel Penguin Federation
ALIENS VS. TEMPLARS
Arguably, this was the most unexpected outcome of all battles in this round, as well as the most anticipated confrontation. Surpassing the community’s expectations, the Aliens brought a huge force of 42+ penguins to the battlefield, having a significant size advantage over the Templars‘ 35 soldiers. Nonetheless, the Knights could have had a chance to win if they outperformed the Aliens with better tactics and formation choices. Sadly for them, this was not the case, as the formers were seen to control the rooms, not allowing TCP to grab even a single victory, as the judges noted they had messy formations and many AFK troops. Thus, the Aliens successfully advanced to the semifinals with a 2-1-0 [W-T-L] score.
Winner: Aliens
This iteration of Christmas Chaos has truly been a blast! With many surprising results and exciting battles, we now wait until the next weekend to witness how the semifinals will play out. Good luck to the remaining armies! Who do you think will advance to the Grand Finals?
