There have been a large variety of flags for many different armies in CPA history – some better, some less. So today, we will pick out the top ten best flags from the CPPS era of Club Penguin armies.
Since the creation of armies, marketing an army has been important to allow armies to attract recruits. Armies create their own uniforms, websites, chat designs and flags to create a personality for their army. While not all armies have them, over time, they have become an important part of an army’s look. Despite this, the “best” army flag has yet to be decided. With that being said, here is our top ten list of army flags in the CPPS era.
10. Napalm Corps
Founded in 2023, the Napalm Corps was a relatively short-lived army, only existing for a couple of months. However, it still featured a flag, and at that a unique one. Fully in grey and black, the flag is parted per pale into two different sections. The hoist side features a triangle in dark grey alongside two in black, divided by another lighter grey. This transitions into the fly side, which is a simple plain in the same grey.
Due to it being unique and well-designed, the flag of the Napalm Corps starts off our list as the 10th best flag of the CPPS era.
9. People’s Imperial Confederation
Created back in 2019, the People’s Imperial Confederation has been one of the most established armies of the CPPS era. Alongside their success in Club Penguin warfare, comes a worthy flag. A horizontal tricolour, the flag features the base colours of blue, white, and red equally divided. The center is decorated by their grand coat of arms, borrowed from Napoleonic France. Combined with a red hammer and sickle in the middle, 12 yellow stars surround it, reminding of the European Union.
This flag has earned its spot due to its nice design, combined with strong symbolism. Together, it manages to bring over the message of an imperialist confederation by and for the people.
8. Army of Club Penguin
Having been around since the creation of Club Penguin armies, the Army of Club Penguin is a force to be reckoned with. A strong force needs a strong flag, which they certainly delivered upon. Four green stripes, two white ones, and one golden one decorate the basis of the flag. In the canton, a darker green field is placed. Within it, a clover is decorating the center – the recognisable logo of the army. Surrounding the clover, 14 stars are placed, alternatingly white and gold.
Regardless of its slight similarities to the flag of the USA, the flag is unique and pleasant to look at. A perfect flag for this army, the flag of the ACP has earned its spot on place 8.
7. Elite Guardians of Club Penguin
The Elite Guardians of Club Penguin is an army that was founded in 2017. It is currently being led by EGCP Legend Fitsuki. The army also participated in World War IX. They have recently altered the flag by changing the colours, but keeping the emblem and general design. Albeit slightly improvable, the flag looks neat and has rarely seen colour combinations. Additionally, the emblem rounds the flag of well and gives the whole flag a Club Penguin feel. It is a flag true to the army and a nice, although simple one to look at.
A great design with only a few needed simplifications, it well deservedly placed seventh on our list.
6. Water Vikings
The Water Vikings is an army that was founded in 2010. It is currently being led by Claire and Ryebread. The army has participated in many wars such as World War IX, Eagre Foray Wars, and much more. The flag above is the most recent of many previous flags. It is a very simple but clean flag, taking the blue colour of the water and combining it with the raven of the Vikings. Together with the addition of the typical Blue Viking Helmet of their uniform, it gives the flag a subtle Club Penguin design and makes it uniquely applicable to their army. Colour choices are great and follow the rules of tincture, albeit kept very basic.
Nice choices of apparent symbolism and design have deservedly given this flag its way into the top 6.
5. Club Penguin Socialist Movement
Founded in 2018, the Club Penguin Socialist Movement did not exist for more than a few months. Most notably, they were a participant in World War VII. In their legacy, they have left behind this flag, capturing their essence. Featuring only two colours, red and white, a lot is done with them. The field is divided into two sections, with the lower and upper one in bright red and the large center in white. In addition, the white is adorned with a red cogwheel overlaid by a red and white star. Immediately symbolic of what is called a ‘Socialist Movement’, the flag identifies the army well with a directly recognisable design.
Due to its simplicity but elegant execution and strong meaning, pleasant to the eye, it received place 5 on the list.
4. Church of Aurora
The Church of Aurora is an army that was founded in 2024. The army is currently being led by History and Aurora. Widely recognized as a meme army, it still features a beautiful and well-designed flag. The basis is formed by four shades of blue, arranged in an equal horizontal division. Additionally, a large, centered, four-pointed star is dividing the field. The flag represents aurora borealis, the northern lights, well, making it a great flag for the Aurorans.
Due to it being unique and displaying this in a beautifully symbolic way, it shall be crowned top 4.
3. Rebel Penguin Federation
The Rebel Penguin Federation is another army that has been around for many, many years. Over the years, they had their fair share of flags, with this being the current one. Divided into a diagonal tricolour of red white and black, the basis is formed with a beautiful contrast. Uniquely, the division is very nice to look at, presenting white as the main colour. In the center, the emblem of the army ties together the flag: The letter ‘A’ shaped like a star, together with two red and two black stripes.
Being very recognisable, the colours playing together well and the simple yet unique design, the flag of the RPF claims third place.
2. Red Ravagers
The Red Ravagers was an army that was founded in 2020. Very notably, the army has participated in many wars, for example, World War VIII. It was later revived in early 2024 but shut down during the same year. And left behind it has this flag for its legacy. It is a unique and complex yet simple flag, also due to its 1:2 aspect ratio. The design featured is unlike most flags, featuring alternating red and black horizontal stripes with a white diagonal division. Two black stars adorn the top and bottom of the white, with a black mask placed in the round off-center. Summarising, this flag may best be described as a complex and simple beauty, featuring only a few colours but so much done with them.
Due to it being pleasantly designed as well as being very unique and lovely to look at, it has earned top 2.
1. Pizza Federation
The Pizza Federation was an army that was founded in 2018. The army participated in many wars such as World War Rewritten, the Templars Exodus, and more. Having shut down, their flag remains. Being another flag with an aspect ratio of 2:1, it reminds of the vexillum (a sort of banner) of the Roman Empire. A golden laurel wreath, stylized to fit into the Club Penguin design is placed in the center, with a Club Penguin pizza and chef’s hat inside. The center is clearly the focal point, with the outside shade of red beautifully surrounding it. Having this Club Penguin style, historical feeling and overall simple beautiful flag, it immediately reminds of the army itself.
With a beautifully historic feel, plus the perfectly incorporated Club Penguin style and imagery, it ties off the flag and army well. Thus, it has officially been crowned the number 1 spot of the best CPPS era flags. Congratulations!
Many armies have been created and shut down during the past few years of Club Penguin armies. As a result, there have been many flags to capture the spirit of an army, with only the best making this list. However, despite many good flags, also a lot of bad flags hide beneath the covers. What is your favourite CPPS era flag? What do you think are the worst army flags?
