For six years, the Aliens have been a cosmic force, now celebrating their anniversary of dominance. They celebrated in their anniversary party on September 8 in honor of reaching this galactical milestone.

The Aliens of Club Penguin were founded in November 2018 by Sans and his co-founder Small/Medium Army Legend Bestpenguin. This army rapidly grew, consistently gathering more than 40 penguins on the Club Penguin Online private server. However, on May 16, 2020, the army disbanded as internal conflicts arose and Club Penguin Online shut down, leaving few private servers available. They made a remarkable comeback on June 25, with 17 penguins attending their opening event.

Aliens celebrating their first anniversary

Within just one month of their return, the Aliens achieved Major Army status, consistently ranking high in the weekly Top Ten, with several appearances in the top three. The army is well-known for its strong alliances with notable armies such as the Help Force and the Secret Service, while maintaining positive relations with Special Weapons and Tactics. They take pride in their close-knit community, where many troops feel a strong sense of belonging.

For their sixth anniversary, the Aliens gathered 42 penguins online. They participated in a series of fun events and games to celebrate the occasion. The Aliens enjoyed playing “Guess the Word,” “Who’s that Pokémon?” and “Riddle Contest” to mark the anniversary. The anniversary brimmed with excitement, blending their unique alien culture with the fun and unity that define their community.

Aliens at their sixth anniversary

Club Penguin Armies approached Alien leaders Bestpenguin and Miss Nova, to capture their excitement, having achieved this wonderful milestone.

Congratulations on your six year anniversary! How do you feel the army has evolved?

Bestpenguin: Since 2018, the Aliens have undergone significant growth. We evolved from barely understanding armies to becoming a major force by 2019. Our dedication in building strong relationships with our troops has kept us alive. We grew from a maximum of 8 members in 2018 to 25-30+ by late 2019. With our revival in 2024, our size and community ties have rapidly strengthened. The Aliens have changed dramatically over time, and we’re focused on continued improvement in battles & fostering good relations with other armies outside of our lovely allies.

Miss Nova: I feel really proud knowing that something as simple as a game can make such a big impact on the community. It’s incredible to see so many people joining, building friendships, and becoming part of something bigger. Over time, the army has evolved in so many ways, from how we approach hosting events and organizing battles to how we’ve stayed connected as a group. The shift to platforms like Discord has allowed us to host more creative events, fun missions, and keep everyone engaged beyond just battles. The Aliens Army built a place where people feel they belong, and it’s inspiring to think how a game can foster real friendships and connections. That’s what I’m most proud of seeing how much we’ve grown as a community and the memories we’ve created together through all the events and missions we’ve hosted.

Are there any notable memories you would like to share for the anniversary?

Bestpenguin: When I began leading the Aliens, maxing 4 was a huge achievement for me. Each time we broke our previous max’s record, it brought me great joy. My favorite memories are winning the Summer Bash Up 2019 against the Templars and becoming Army of the Week in April 2020. I treasure the many great moments with amazing people from 2019-2020 and now in 2024. Each experience is special to me. I’m glad that I met good people in 2019-2020 like Void, Missnova, Fuzzhead4, Tena, DorukTR, Choco55172, Conan, Maggie, Mini5 and so many more amazing people and now Sheriff, SeptikGoose, Apollo130, Space Soda, Pinkypingu, Theonlyjuagon and Funkykae in 2024.

Miss Nova: There are so many great memories! One that stands out was just last month when we started gaining recognition again as a strong and competitive army. It was a really proud moment, thanks to the support of our newest Aliens Staff members of 2024 and the dedication of our new army members, some of whom woke up early just to attend and be part of it. The energy during those battles was incredible, and it felt like all our hard work paid off. But beyond the battles, I really value the friendships and fun moments we’ve had together. Whether it was during big events or just hanging out, those are the memories that mean the most to me. It’s the sense of camaraderie that makes being part of the army so special. Another memory that really impacted me was back in early 2020 when I became a moderator in the Aliens Army. Meeting BestPenguin, Choco55172, and other staff members at that time was a turning point for me. We built such strong connections and worked together through every challenge, from hosting events, stamp missions to planning battles. It was those relationships and experiences that helped shape my path within the army. Now, as a leader, I look back on those moments as the foundation of the strong community we have today. Whether we were working on battle strategies or just having fun together, those moments really brought me closer to the team.

The Aliens have been shut down for a while before the revival. How did you find these challenges and successes through your comeback?

Bestpenguin: When comparing to other armies, the Aliens had a slight smooth return to the army community after a 4-year gap, thanks to our old server keeping everyone in touch. We managed to bring back some former members. However, recruiting new people was a challenge. CPAB, while a great place, wasn’t ideal for new armies due to a lack of recruits and people over there were already enlisted in other armies. Initially, we struggled to max well in our CPAB events and relied on visitors to reach 10+. After evaluating the situation, we shifted our events to CPJ, which helped us attract new members. Over time, our size in CPAB grew as well, and we became a major army. Another challenge we faced was adapting to the changed rules in the army community, such as faster battles and new map rules. We’re still adjusting to these changes but hope to overcome them with time.

Miss Nova: The revival was a challenge, no doubt about it. After being inactive for 4 years, it felt like we had to start from scratch but it was so rewarding to see everyone come together again. The hardest part was having new staff members and learning to give trust, while also getting people excited to join. Rebuilding that trust and engagement took time but the dedication from both the leaders and members of the Aliens Army made all the difference. It really showed how strong the Aliens Army could be, and watching everything come together motivated us even more to keep moving forward. It wasn’t easy, but it was definitely worth it.

Any final messages you wish to share with the army community?

Bestpenguin: Aliens are hoping to make CPA a happy and a peaceful place. We are trying our best to foster harmony in our community and outside of our community. Big things coming up so stayed tuned with us:D.
TOGETHER WE CARE, WE SHARE, WE SMILE AND WE RISE!

Miss Nova: To the entire army community, I just want to say how important it is that we keep coming together. Armies have the potential to be something truly special. Spaces where people can connect, have fun, and make real friendships. I’d love to see us all come together more as a positive, supportive group, without any negativity or toxicity. We all come from different places but at the end of the day, we’re here for the same reasons: to enjoy, to compete, and to create memories. Let’s keep building that, fostering an environment where everyone can feel included and appreciated, like a big family. I think that’s what really makes this community so great, and I hope we can continue to strengthen those bonds going forward.

The Aliens have shown remarkable resilience by displaying their cosmic unity. We wish the Aliens the best as they continue their journey through the galaxy of Club Penguin Armies. Will the Aliens reach their 7th anniversary?
