On July 15, 2024, the Water Vikings leaders announced a hiatus to improve their army. The Vikings aim to make changes to their server and staff team for a strong comeback.
ARMY ROOTS
The Water Vikings were established on December 28, 2010, by Jed Pen and Zak through the merger of two armies, the Masked Vikings and the Water Troops. From that point forward, the Vikings have been a present army throughout their lifetime, actively participating in numerous wars and conflicts with other armies. Their early efforts quickly demonstrated their dominance in the army community through frequent event hosting and battle participation. Building on this success, in 2020, the army decided to evolve its expansion with the Golden Guardians rebrand.
earlier this year
Throughout this year, the Water Vikings underwent multiple leadership changes and even won their first March Madness tournament against the Rebel Penguin Federation. The Water Vikings were thriving, and the community began to notice the members’ contributions to the army’s success. Their impressive achievements highlighted their growing influence and strength within the army community.
One of their most successful wars took place in April against the Army of Club Penguin, where the Vikings dominated with a record of 12-1-1. However, before reaching this milestone, the army suffered a defeat against the Templars. This setback motivated them to prove their strength and showcase their capabilities to the army community.
Lockdown Announcement
Most recently, the Vikings had lost multiple leaders, and lost their Major status. The Vikings were participating in the Legends Cup XIV and had made it up until round two against the Clovers. All of these events led to the Vikings leaders to officially announce the lockdown of their server. In their announcement message, WV leader Claire detailed the reasons behind the army’s decision and how it could benefit their community as a whole. Additionally, it was stated that the army would continue hosting events to keep their server active and engaged.
With the Vikings on lockdown, it seems they are truly passionate and committed to improving the army. The Vikings hope that by stepping away and focusing on improvements, they will boost their activity and come back stronger. To support this transition, the announcement also stated that the army would continue hosting events to keep their server active and engaged. Will the Vikings successfully revamp their army and regain their former prominence?
