The Sluttpådawn began on April 7th when the Water Vikings surprisingly declared war on the Templars. The first battle took place on April 9th and the two have continued to fight since then. In this post, we will be finding out the troops’ thoughts on the war so far.

On April 7th, the Water Vikings declared war on the Templars, stating that the two armies had unfinished business. In their declaration post, the Water Vikings stated that the idea of an alliance between the two armies started floating around after the second Eagre Foray war in August 2022. This came after the two spent many years as enemies, battling on opposite sides. However, Templars declared war on them just a few months later. This led to their shaky relationship, following the war, leading to their recent declaration.

The beginning of the current war was covered by NIKO who interviewed both Templars and Water Vikings’ Leaders. The post covered both the declaration and the Templars’ response. In the interview, and in response to the Vikings’ declaration, Dawn had this to say:

The anger that we have towards the WV for creating war out of nothing like this and disrupt our plans has fueled us to just do better and prove that the Templars will always be a war army and to never underestimate us.

Ultimately, the Templars did not take their declaration lightly and held resentment for them because of their reasoning for war. They believed that the Vikings’ reasoning was not justified. One of the reasons for the war, outside of their shaky relationship, was that Templars withdrew from the New Year Bonanza tournament. However, it was later revealed that Templars did not participate due to personal issues occurring which they did not disclose. Yet, one thing is clear, the war was bound to happen at some point in time, with or without the tournament issue.

With all that being said, it is time to find out what the troops think about the Sluttpådawn war.

What were your initial reactions when war was declared?

TheX2again, Water Vikings: I was just thinking: Well, that happend, let’s destroy TCP

Drones, Water Vikings: I was pretty suprised because, wv and templars have always had beef but never anything to serious

How is your experience of the thus far? Do the war battles become tiring?

TheX2again, Water Vikings: We are obviously losing, and it takes a ton of luck to change that, however i trust it

Laurelblue23, Water Vikings: I’ll stand with Weevee no matter what, but I personally think it’s really dumb. And yeah they get tiring, especially the prospect of the AUSIA ones. Nobody’s even awake. Maybe I’m unfamiliar with the concept of war, but it’s dumb we started it

Do you believe your army will win? If so, how? What makes your army different to your opponent?

TheX2again, Water Vikings: I can’t really say anything, Templars are leading but never say never, i’d say we’re less controversial, but will that change anything?

Laurelblue23, Water Vikings: I’m not very confident we’ll win. Even if we were winning I’d still think it’s dumb and I’d feel bad. I don’t know much about Club Penguin army history, so I honestly don’t know? But we seem to be more independent than they are because they pull their allies in.

Drones, Water Vikings: i really dont know if we will win, its going crazy as of now, i do hope we win though

Teapotboi, Templars: I believe we will win as our score is 11 and theirs is 3

Bren3432, Templars: Yea, we are cool, they are not

Zez4643, Templars: I think TCP will win, because we have already won eleven battles and we have a size advantage against water Vikings

Well, it seems like no one knew why the war was declared upon the release of the declaration. Members of both armies were shocked but it brought some excitement with it. Now, after many battles have taken place, the war score only seems to get bigger with the war score being (WV) 3-0-11 (Win-Tie-Loss). The score showcases that the Templars have the lead in the war but Water Vikings are still holding out hope that they can win. Who do you think will win the war? Can the Vikings turn the tides?
