Thuanthaijo, also known as Jo, joined the army community on January 14th, 2022 during the week of Help Force‘s Winter Gala. Jo was recruited into the army by ‘Power Troop’ Choco. Despite being new to the army, he attended many ausia events and was eager to learn. During his first few months in the army alone, he witnessed their March Madness run, where they made it all the way to the finals.

Despite the army not winning, Jo gained invaluable experience from this much like the army itself. As time went on, Jo started to engage in the army more. On June 28th, he was promoted to Junior Staff. Within two months, he was able to become a fully-fledged staff member. From here, he began to stand out as an individual even more. In the community, Jo is known for his love of Hot Chocolate and his catchphrase ‘tasty’. These are just two of the things that many associate Jo with. Undoubtedly, within HF, Jo has become a household name.

Towards the end of the year, HF participated in the Christmas Chaos tournament and made it to the Semi-Finals. As 2023 came around, so did change for Jo and the Help Force. In late April 2023, Jo started working for the reporting team of Club Penguin Armies [CPA]. In May, he published his first post, which covered the re-classification of the Dark Vikings to S/M Army status. This was not the change either. The army also changed the narrative and won the Ausia Arena tournament in May. Following their win, he was able to grind the ranks even further eventually gaining the rank of Leader-in-Training in July.

Jo’s induction event

Jo was promoted to Commander on August 27th, taking over the leadership position vacated by Snowy and Maya. During the induction event, the Helpers managed to get 26 penguins online to celebrate. With this promotion, he led the Helpers to a tournament finals in October, during the Trick or Treat Trials tournament. It was the first time he had led the army in a tournament since becoming leader. It was a momentous occasion for Jo, cementing a new era for the army.

Recently, on April 8th, he was promoted to Associate Editor in the Club Penguin Armies reporting team. He is also in the Help Force Hall of Fame as an ‘achiever’. It showcased how much work he had done in the army. But who is he outside of the army community?

Club Penguin Armies approached Jo for an interview to learn more about him and his background.
