SUB ZERO, Ice Warriors Capital – After over a year of service in the Ice Warriors community, Erick09 has announced his departure from the leadership team. What led to this decision?
First founded in June 2007 by Iceyfeet1234, the Ice Warriors have since stayed at the peak of the army scene. As one of the first armies ever created, their long history has greatly impacted the community. Oftentimes, the Ice Warriors emerged victorious in tournaments such as the 2021 March Madness, as well as consistently reached the number one spot in the Top Tens.
Following the reopening of the army in late 2019, the army underwent many changes in leadership. One of the most notable additions, featuring Erick09, took place right after a hectic practice battle against Help Force. In spite of not having such an extensive history in the community, Erick09 proved himself as a dedicated member of the army. Originally joining the Ice Warriors amidst February 2020, he quickly made his way through the ranks and made his way to the staff team. On account of his many efforts, the administration deemed it fair to welcome Erick09 to the leadership team.

During his time as leader along with Iceyfeet1234, Kally, and LawCorazon, Erick09 went on to bring Ice Warriors to new heights. While reaching first place in the Top Tens for three months in a row, Erick09 established many connections with troops and fellow staff members. At the summit of his career in Ice Warriors, Erick09 announced his withdrawal from the community. Following a retirement event on August 15th, 2021, Erick09 shared his experience with the entire community and stepped down on a positive note.

With the intention of learning more about what’s next for the Ice Warriors community, we reached out to Erick09 to get filled in on his thoughts.
What led you to step down from your position?
School has been something I’ve been dealing with for some time now, and recently I don’t have time anymore to help my fellow warriors, so I decided to step down and let somebody else fill my gap inside the leadership.
After first joining Ice Warriors, what caused you to stay?
IW has always made me feel like it was my home, always being kind, respectful and really funny is what made me stay, with the months passing by I was just loyal to the army because I believed it would always be what it is now, the perfect place to have some fun and chill in an online game.
Would you say you are pleased with everything you’ve accomplished as a leader?
I’m more than proud of what we became as an army definitely, becoming a big and welcoming community, winning a tournament, staying in the number 1 spot in the top ten placements for like 3 months in a row and many other times, but the best achievement is of course all the people that were in each moment.
