As March slowly comes to a close, the March Madness XI Finals are here, with two armies at the heliocentric center of the competition, each vying to claim the coveted trophy. Both armies are long-time tournament rivals, making this clash as much about legacy as it is about bringing that prize home. Let us take a look at how the finalists are preparing for their Grand Finals battle.

OVERVIEW
Following their respective quarterfinal matchups, the Army of Club Penguin and the Rebel Penguin Federation advanced to the March Madness XI semifinals. Specifically, after facing the Shadow Legionnaires, the Rebels advanced and were slated to play the Water Vikings in the semifinals. Meanwhile, by defeating the Dark Warriors in their quarterfinal encounter, the Army of Club Penguin earned a matchup against the Templars in the semifinals. The March Madness XI semifinals took place over the weekend of March 21–22, 2026. The Rebel Penguin Federation advanced to the Grand Finals on March 21 after defeating the Water Vikings in three rooms. The Army of Club Penguin played the Templars in a similar three-room format the next day, March 22, and won each room to advance to the Grand Finals. These results made RPF and ACP the two armies that would compete for the March Madness XI title.

The Rebels, the reigning March Madness X winners, and the Army of Club Penguin, who are contending for their first March Madness tournament title, will square off in the Grand Finals on Sunday, March 29, 2026. Despite several deep runs throughout the years, ACP has never won a March Madness title. In fact, they had previously lost to the Elite Guardians in March Madness IX and subsequently to the Doritos of Club Penguin in March Madness X in third-place contests. Going further back to the Old Club Penguin Era, ACP also suffered defeats against the Nachos and the Ice Warriors, highlighting the long journey they’ve taken to reach this moment. Nevertheless, they’ve advanced to the finals this year and, as a result, are locked in, with the goal of finally winning the championship they’ve been chasing.

REBEL PENGUIN FEDERATION
Link3000
In June 2020, at the height of the COVID-19 lockdown, Link3000 began to ascend in the Rebel Penguin Federation. He started out as a new troop, but he soon demonstrated his commitment and won Troop of the Week. He then worked his way up from High Command to 2nd-in-Command before becoming leadership. RPF didn’t simply take part under his leadership; they dominated. In addition to directing significant operations in the Summer Sovereign War and World War IX, he led the army to triumphs in AUSIA Arena: Winter Edition, Christmas Chaos XII and March Madness VIII.
Link3000 had established himself as one of RPF’s all-time greats by 2024 and 2025. In addition to receiving awards like Best Major Army Leader, Major Army Legend, and Person of the Year 2025, he co-led Gabegirl to several tournament victories, including Christmas Chaos XIV, March Madness IX and X, and Legends Cup XV. In addition to leading RPF’s civil activities as the Head of the Top Ten Committee. Link’s vision, leadership, and tactical prowess have made a lasting impression, transforming RPF into a formidable force and making him legendary among both community members and veterans.

Gabegirl
Gabegirl, often known as Gabi, joined the Rebel Penguin Federation in September 2021 and quickly advanced through the ranks, landing a staff post within months. By September 2022, she had risen to High Command and played a critical part in ensuring victory in the 2022 Christmas Chaos and 2023 March Madness tournaments. In May 2023, RPF promoted Gabi to Second in Command, and in February 2024, she became leader, taking full control of the army and guiding it alongside co-leader Link to multiple victories, including Christmas Chaos 2024 and the Candy Crusher Brawl, as they pursue more wins against the Army of Club Penguin.
ARMY OF CLUB PENGUIN
Daniel
Daniel20448 began his army career with Club Penguin Online during the COVID era in 2020, joining the Golds and obtaining the title of Golden One of the Week before getting banned. He co-founded Silver Empire, rose to Second in Command, and eventually achieved Silver Empire Legend status. Following a brief retirement, Daniel joined the Army of Club Penguin’s Spanish division as a Warrant Officer, quickly ascending through the ranks and leading triumphs in engagements like Fright or Fight 2020. He contributed to the ACP’s Training Regiment, received devotion decorations, and eventually helped lead the US division in significant fights against armies such as the Help Force, Doritos, and Templars. Daniel returned as a veteran in 2024, becoming an Advisor before joining High Command, where he took part in significant events such as Project Conquest: Blood Bowl and CCXIV.
Roxy
Roxy was officially inducted as the Clovers’ 52nd Commander-in-Chief, joining Ugly in heading the army. She started her army career with the Help Force in November 2019 and joined ACP in October 2020. Roxy soon advanced through the ranks, serving in the Recruiting Force, becoming a Moderator, and eventually joining the High Command in October 2021. After stepping down, she returned in January 2024 to rejoin the High Command and oversee the AUSIA Division. Her efforts in recruitment and mentorship increased ACP’s regional troops, culminating in her ascension to Commander-in-Chief in June 2024, as ACP sought to emulate the success of previous leaders.
Roxy’s leadership was further acknowledged following the Centenary Solstice War against the Elite Guardians, which ended on August 30, 2024. Her effort to recruiting, mentoring, and leading regional units was cited as critical to ACP’s win in 104 battles, resulting in a war score of 64-1-39. She and Ugly received the Silver Medal for their services, joining a limited group of leaders in ACP history.

Both the leaders of Clovers and Rebels have worked hard to get their armies to this stage. Their passion and teamwork have resulted in strong, competitive forces, and their performance thus far demonstrates their will to win. Club Penguin Armies met with all four leaders to understand their thoughts and preparations for this high-stakes war. Additionally, Club Penguin Armies reached out to each armies leaders to understand their mindset and their preparations going into this major battle.
Unfortunately, Link and Gabegirl were unable to respond in time, which suggests they are fully focused on preparing for their finals appearance.
I. How is your army strategically preparing for the Grand Finals, and what are your priorities once heading into battle?
Roxy: Our events this week have been a mix of training and fun themed events. Our main priority is to enjoy the battle against our allies and truly make the most of this experience together.
Daniel: We are focusing on training and preparing ourselves mentally for the battle. Our priorities are to just make sure everyone is on the same page about everything, while also having fun with it!
II. How do you keep your army focused, motivated, and executing tactics effectively when every move counts?”
Roxy: It really comes down to reminding the members that every single person matters in a big battle. When everyone knows their presence is vital to earning a trophy we’ve never held before, they realize their importance in helping us make history.
Daniel: It really just comes down to making them aware of that same fact.
III. What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned from past tournaments that you’re bringing into this battle?
Roxy: The biggest lesson is to enjoy the process rather than dwelling on the outcome. The work we put in now definitely pays off in the future- none of our efforts are in vain, and the growth we gain in future is a win in itself!!
Daniel: All preparation is key.
