Tsunamis Rebrand to the Abyssal Tides Of Club Penguin

The Tsunamis have officially rebranded into the Abyssal Tides, creating a new era in their history. Let’s dive into this update and understand what led to this rebranding.

The Background

The Tsunamis joined the small/medium army community on December 18, 2025, under the leadership of its founder, denizmyn. The army steadily made its name in the community despite setbacks. Recently, the Tsunamis Discord server was defaced twice, and the army has seen numerous leadership changes throughout its life cycle. Due to a loss of motivation to run the army amid instability, the Tsunamis merged into the Fire Vikings on February 5, 2026. However, this merger was short-lived, and they gradually began discussing a revival throughout February and early March.

The REbranding

As the day of the rebranding drew closer, he noted that there was some input from the army community that “the Tsunamis” resembled the Water Vikings. On March 2, denizmyn previewed “Trident Division” as a possible name for the second generation of the Tsunamis. Later, on March 4, 2026, the name “Abyssal Tides” was finalised and adopted for the rebrand of the army. A revival event took place on the same day where the army maxed 5.

However, this transition came with certain chaos. Tsunamis leader Tokenlinenzz was removed from the army’s leadership by denizmyn as many members felt that his authority had become power-hungry and harsh. Denizmyn believed that balanced and fair leadership was required in his army.

Furthermore, the rebranding accompanied the promotion of Abyssal Tides’ member Garfield to High Command within the army. In addition, the army made multiple moves in its first week of revival, which included the reformation of an alliance with the Fire Vikings, their participation in a practice battle with the Cryo Vanguards, and their declaration of war against the Teutons of Club Penguin to support the Phantom Republic of Club Penguin.

Club Penguin Armies reached out to Abyssal Tides’ leader, denizmyn, for an interview about the rebranding and their revival.

How do you feel about reopening?

I feel good and have good expectations for this new gen.

What plans does this generation have?

Nothing much for now.

Should we expect to see anything new for the army?

More maxxes for events and more alliances.

Any other comments for the community?

I am tired.

The rebrand and the reopening of this army seem to be an interesting turning point, although their future remains in doubt. Denizmyn has not explored any clear visions for the future of his army yet, but he has shown his steadfast nature in continuing to lead his own army. Will this rebrand really change the army’s identity? Or, would new problems arise during the army’s second generation?
