Templars Server Defaced By Former Leader; What Happened?

Not long ago, the Templars’ Discord server was allegedly defaced by their former leader, Dawnables. In response to such adversity, TCP committed to reconstructing itself anew. Let us further examine the circumstances that led to this situation.

Xing founded the Templars on April 4, 2018. Within a few months of their establishment, they participated in World War VII against the Rebel Penguin Federation. The army has undergone significant development and has participated in numerous conflicts, including the many Great Holy Wars. Throughout their history, TCP has repeatedly bounced between Major and Small/Medium, most recently returning to the higher status. Recent developments concerning the Templars include the promotion of Zez and Borapenguins to leadership positions and the appointment of Sidie9 as Regent of Jerusalem. Additionally, they secured victory in the S/M Finals of Christmas Chaos XV against the Dark Warriors and Romans.

Dawnables Journey

Dawnables commenced her army journey in 2019. Having served in multiple armies, she initially began with the Lime Green Army before leaving for the Help Force, and ultimately joined the Army of Club Penguin. In 2020, she retired from the community but returned in 2022 to begin her involvement with the Templars. Showing significant progress within the army, she was promoted to Grand Prior in November 2022, less than a year after joining.

After guiding the Templars through numerous controversies, conflicts, and tournaments, she discreetly relinquished her leadership position in the summer of 2024 without issuing any announcement regarding her departure.

Templars Defacement

On January 28, 2026, the Templars encountered a challenging situation as their former leader, Dawnables, allegedly declined to return TCP’s Discord server’s temporary ownership to Xing and refused to cooperate, leaving them in a vulnerable position. Initially, the ownership of TCP’s server was transferred to Dawn in late 2024, amidst some controversies between Xing and Secret Service. To address this, notably referred to as the January Exodus, the army convened an emergency meeting with over 45 individuals in attendance.

Following a popular accord, the army decided to transition to a new server. Leaders and members faced additional challenges as they reportedly began to be banned, and channels containing years of Templars’ history were either deleted or set to private. With the assistance of the Dark Warriors and other allies, they managed to regain over 500 members within less than 24 hours, demonstrating their resilience and determination to recover and emerge stronger from this setback.

TCP first rallied against the January Exodus

Club Penguin Armies contacted Xing and Sidie9 to understand the significance and how they intend to rebuild from the January Exodus.

What would you consider the reason behind Dawnables’ actions in defacing TCP?

Xing, Creator of TCP: Greed and being Power Hungry, it’s undeniable.

Sidie9, Regent of Jerusalem: I don’t want to speculate on Dawn’s reasoning because I genuinely have no idea what led her to this point. She was given ownership of the server as a temporary measure, with the full understanding that she would transfer it back to Xing one day. Dawn claimed to have lost her phone number and therefore could not verify the 2FA requirement Discord needed to transfer the server. When the leadership consistently requested that she contact Discord support directly, her communication became non-existent and by January she completely disappeared. We found out Dawn was changing role permissions after we checked the audit logs, and this continued for weeks until she removed administrator permissions from all the leaders as well as Xing himself. Ten minutes later, we tried to reach her in private via the advisory group-chat, explaining the severity of her actions and requested the server to be transferred once more. With no answer from Dawn, a public meeting was hosted in the Discord and we voted on the possibility of moving to a new server. At this point Dawn started removing roles from everyone and granting random individuals important roles such as Emperor and Empress, so we had no choice but to move to a new server. She started banning all of us and the rest is history. From my perspective, Dawn is an old friend and I don’t want anyone to harass her. I hope that she is able to overcome whatever might be troubling her, my door is always open to her. Jesus tells us to forgive those who wrong us, and so I will afford her kindness when the time comes.

What measures are being taken to mitigate the damage?

Xing, Creator of TCP: Made a new server, everyone joined. Frankly, it’s funny how many veterans were pushed away initially from Templars because of how Dawn treated them.

Sidie9, Regent of Jerusalem: The new server has been modelled in the image of the old one, it required a lot of effort but it had to be done. We were able to recover information from channels, emojis, and roles. The damage would have been irreversible if not for the immense support of our members, veterans and the amazing Dark Warriors who rallied behind us. Shoutout to Eden for archiving all the event pictures. We contacted as many of our original members as possible and over 500 users had joined the new server within a day of its creation. At the time of writing this we are at nearly 800 members, and the defacement hasn’t impacted our event sizes. The server membership may be far from 13,000, but our growth won’t end.

How do you intend to reshape TCP?

Xing, Creator of TCP: Continue as normal, we’re fine and not in a victim mentality. We keep pushing and growing and that’s been showing through our recent events.

Sidie9, Regent of Jerusalem: Our work ethic remains strong and we will continue to grow. It is a shame that we lost progress made in our old server, we had gained a thousand members over the past month. Nonetheless, we are proud of our swift recovery thus far and our rise to the top of the community won’t cease.

Would you like to make a statement to the community and other armies?

Xing, Creator of TCP: Thank you to the armies and members of armies that helped us during that trying time (DW, ACP, Aliens etc….), we will not forget your goodwill and help towards us. Nonetheless, I think frankly, this defacement has done nothing but scratch us. Morale is even higher now, sizes are still high and the same after the deface (maybe even larger) and our plans haven’t changed as to what we will do in the future. All the Templar haters who mope about in CPA main chat have nothing better to do all day other than to trash on Templars while they wallow in their own filth in their sad and sorry armies. It’s frankly disgusting to see people put so little effort into their army careers and amount to absolutely nothing, and trash-talk us. No wonder nobody takes them seriously.

Sidie9, Regent of Jerusalem: There is no end to our determination. If we must overcome the erasure of everything we’ve worked towards in order to become the greatest, this is what we will do. From the ashes, we rise.

Club Penguin Armies also reached out to former Empress Dawnables in order to understand her side of the story.

What were the factors that led to your controversies with Templars?

Dawnables, Former Empress: sent someone to blow up my phones messages and call me, blew me up on discord before, during, and after i left. went on smear campaigns about me to lie about me and project themselves onto me. told ppl who didnt know my name my irl name.

Clearly, despite being in a tough situation, the Templars’ resolve to overcome this setback is immovable, though it does raise some questions for the army’s future. How long before TCP can recover from its current situation? Will they be able to re-attain their previous server?
