Warfare Rampage Ends In Controversy: Aliens and Republic Surrender

In a surprising turn of events, the recent wave of wars has suddenly dried up. After concerns regarding a controversial war declaration from the Water Vikings, the Aliens and Scarlet Republic opted to surrender their wars in protest.

On January 19, the Army of Club Penguin issued a war declaration on Scarlet Republic, which surprised many community members, given the close relationship between ACP and SR members. Apparently, however, these friendly relations are a thing of the past. The war was justified by ACP as a response to hostile rhetoric from SR leaders. It kicked off scheduled invasions and quickly expanded into a broader multi-army conflict with allies and neutrals taking sides.

The Aliens quickly launched an offensive against the Clovers in an attempt to defend their Small/Medium allies, SR. The Aliens declaration post responds to ACP’s war declaration, framing their actions as unjust toward smaller armies. Thus, the Aliens announce that they would defend those communities and formally declare war on ACP under the banner “Retaliation of Scarlet Galaxies.

Only a few moments later, the Water Vikings shockingly hopped on in the wagon, declaring war on the Aliens, aiming to protect ACP. The post begins with a humorous narrative about a fictional battle judge, named ‘Billy’, deciding the outcome of a battle between WV and Aliens whimsically and exaggeratedly. This could be interpreted as a critique of how judges have handed down their verdicts on recent battles involving Aliens. Overall, the post signals the Water Vikings’ commitment to ACP’s side, likely motivated by pre-existing issues between Aliens and Vikings.

An excerpt of the controversial WV war declaration

In total, three battles took place: an ACP invasion against SR, and two defensive battles against the Aliens. The Clovers were supported by the Vikings, as expected, and the Republic saw support from the Aliens. According to a recent post by the Aliens, the Clovers also saw allied attendance from the Rebel Penguin Federation. SR was also supported by the Void Troops. All three battles resulted in victories for ACP.

Nonetheless, when the community believed it would finally see some good old warfare between major armies after a disappointing 2025, sudden surrenders from SR and Aliens were publicized. Concerns were raised about WV’s declaration. In their statement, the Aliens announced that they are boycotting the Water Vikings and withdrawing all participation in the current wars, condemning the Water Vikings’ recent post. They argue that the Water Vikings’ statement included highly inappropriate sexualized jokes about a minor CPA judge, who coincidentally goes by the name of Billy. Aliens say this made their community feel uncomfortable and unsafe, and that the use of such humor is unacceptable in the Club Penguin army community. The post claims that Water Vikings behaved poorly as allies in the past, holding grudges and showing passive aggression after losses. As a result, Aliens declare Water Vikings as enemies, add them to their “Hall of Shame,” and state they will not engage with them in battles because they do not want to support or compete against a community with what they consider offensive behavior.

On the Republic’s end, SR leader Ghostt released a public statement announcing that the Scarlet Republic has surrendered and withdrawn from the war, forfeiting all of its current land. The leadership explains that while the war initially began as a learning experience with support from the Aliens and other S/M armies, continuing became impractical once multiple top-tier armies became involved, making the effort disproportionate for an army of their size. Scarlet Republic criticizes ACP for spreading what they view as misinformation and harassment toward smaller armies, and states they will no longer participate in battles involving the Water Vikings due to inappropriate language used in a recent post. Despite surrendering, they emphasize that they do not see this as a defeat.

SR surrenders the war

In the midst of such controversy, the Water Vikings Advisor SavageCobra, who authored the declaration, made a public announcement attempting to clear up the concerns about the post. He explains that the name “Billy” was used as a generic placeholder, similar to “John Doe,” common in American English, and was not a reference to any real individual, judge, or minor in the CPA community. He argues that the controversy arose from a cultural and linguistic misunderstanding, particularly among non-Americans, and denies any intent to reference inappropriate themes or real people. Cobra criticizes others for making assumptions without proper context, calls for better sportsmanship, and emphasizes that the Water Vikings do not support inappropriate behavior.

The Club Penguin Armies Administration takes this occasion to formally remind the entire army community that sexual or sexually suggestive content is not acceptable in any form within the community or its surrounding spaces. Club Penguin is a children’s game, and all community activity posts, jokes, declarations, and communications must reflect that reality. Intent, humor, or cultural context do not justify the inclusion of such material. Any content of a sexual nature risks creating an unsafe or inappropriate environment for minors. Army leaders and their staff, in particular, are expected to uphold clear standards and set a responsible example.

We approached representatives of each involved army for their official statements on the recent matters.

Daniel, ACP Leader: THIS SUCKS I WANT A REFUND

Roxy, ACP Leader: can we pls click rewind button and actually go thru the war

Ams, Aliens Leader: We joined the war to defend our allies the S/M Army Scarlet Republic against the Major Army ACP. SR had a clear size disadvantage and we wanted to stick up for them. Our surrender came when ACP, WV, & some RPF all joined together to go against us, in no way is it fair for 3 major armies all with 10k+ members to go against a single major army with only around 3k members

SavageCobra, WV Advisor: I think Aliens were offended that we said it was Johnson’s Baby Oil. It should’ve been the Walmart brand, Equate. /s
ill start using tone indicators to indicate a joke now

Aaronstone, WV Advisor: NOOOOO PLEASE DONT PUNISH US EDU FOR WRITING A POST THAT EVERYONE THOUGHT WAS FUNNY AND WAS BLOWN OUT OF PROPORTION TO GET OUT OF A WAR THEY WERE BADLY LOSING NOOOOO IM SORRY FOR EMBRACING WAR LARP THAT HAS EXISTED FOR 20 YEARS SAYING TO KILL ALIENS IM SORRY IM SORRY PLEASE DONT PUNISH US

Ghostt, SR Leader: The team at Scarlet Republic decided that the war wasnt worth it so we decided to surrender due to multiple factors that came into play. Including ACP disrespecting and discrediting my army for all we have done but also WV declaration included very distasteful and inappropriate content. I feel like the Top 3 armies should act more as role models regardless of if their feelings get hurt. This game died 8 years ago.. Why so serious? Have fun with it.

What was anticipated to be an exciting duel between great armies ultimately concluded on a bittersweet note. Nonetheless, the seeds of a promising 2026 were undoubtedly sown. Do you believe the surrenders were justified? Was the WV post inappropriate? What do you think will happen in the next few months? With the Big, Beautiful Server Map coming, only time will tell if wars will resume.
