On Friday, the Tsunamis of Club Penguin declared an alliance with the Special Weapons and Tactics, boosting the number of alliances that have been forming lately. The Tsunamis opened up last month, while SWAT first set foot in the army community in 2009. Thus, the army community witnesses a new relationship brewing between very new and old armies. In addition, this development comes soon after the war between the Tsunamis and the Void Troops struck, as well as another ongoing war between the Tsunamis and the Crimson Sovereign–Janitors alliance.

Tsunamis leader denizmyn announcing the alliance with SWAT

SWAT leader WilliamW2010 confirming the alliance shortly after
The alliance was driven by the Tsunamis’ leadership, consisting of denizmyn, arceuszz, and mafia, and SWAT’s leadership, consisting of WilliamW2010 and ggogle. This alliance raises questions in the army community as it has been formed while the Tsunamis are at war against the Janitors. Moreover, this diplomatic change follows the multiple leadership changes in SWAT, which comprises of the rise and resignation of former SWAT leaders xDemon, AB, and Fwapo. Shortly after these leadership changes, a new SWAT leader, Ggogle, declared a state of lockdown in the army.
Club Penguin Armies reached out to Tsunamis leader denizmyn, and SWAT leader WilliamW2010 to learn more.
What motivated you to ally?
denizmyn: Nothing.
WilliamW2010: Thought SWAT needed an other ally. As the second ape commandment states, “Ape together strong”
Are there any goals that you expect from this alliance in the long run?
denizmyn: I hope they get better.
WilliamW2010: We expect them to assist us in the case of armed conflict
Is this alliance related to the ongoing war Tsunamis is in?
denizmyn: Nope.
WilliamW2010: No
Would you like to add anything else?
denizmyn: Nah.
WilliamW2010: No
In summary, it appears that this alliance is not connected to the ongoing war. However, this alliance might change the way warfare works within small-medium armies. Or, this might be another fluke. What do you think? Do you feel this alliance will be a driving change in the small-medium army community?
