On January 3rd, 2025, the Templars of Club Penguin and Dark Warriors formed a new ‘Dark Knight’ Alliance. Let us walk through a brief history of the two armies and why they decided to ally!

Dark Warriors
Ambrosha founded the Dark Warriors in September 2007, before merging it with the Ice Warriors later that year. Throughout their lifetime on the original Club Penguin, they achieved world power status numerous times. This greatness produced great leaders such as Lorenzo Bean, SaW, Spi101, and Freezie66. After the introduction of Club Penguin Online, Spi and Freezie brought it back in a massive revival. They easily regained their strength, maxing 70+ in their first week. With the help of modern-era leaders such as Noa and Bee, the army maxed over 100, with a #1 standing in the first unified top ten of the CPPS era. However, DW declined during the Summer of 2020 after CP Online shut down, and it shut down later that year.
On May 23, 2025, however, Ambrosha granted permission for a revival by Holo2, Subzero, and Coolguy. Through continuous hard work and retirements, they added Justin, Midnight, and Salah to the leadership, winning the Summer Blitz Tournament of 2025. The Void Troops waged war against them; however, they were no-shows, leading to an automatic surrender. Then, they helped VT against the Templars, in which they helped VT alongside the Romans to fully defeat TCP in the Second Reckoning War. From there, they were able to make it to the finals of the Small/Medium bracket of the Christmas Chaos Grand Finals, unfortunately losing to the Templars in a 3-way battle against TCP and the Romans.

The Templars were founded by Xing in 2018, becoming one of the most relevant armies throughout the CPPS era. Within a couple of months of their founding, they sparked World War VII against the Rebel Penguin Federation, but shut down before the war ended. After they came back, they never gave up, persisting through multiple struggles, including a ban from Club Penguin Online. With help from legendary leaders such as Freedomist, Brownpen4, and Xing multiple times throughout their lifetime, they made major army status multiple times. Recent history of the Templars includes promotions of Zez and Borapenguin to leader and Sidie9 to Regent of Jerusalem, along with regaining major army status after losing it in August. They also won the S/M Finals of the Christmas Chaos tournament shortly after this announcement, as previously mentioned, winning two rooms and tying one with the Dark Warriors.

On January 3, 2025, both armies announced the new alliance in their respective Discord servers, with this being their first new alliance in quite some time.

Club Penguin Armies reached out to Zez, a Templars’ leader, and Midnight, a Dark Warriors’ leader, for more information on the alliance.
What was your motivation behind allying with the Templars of Club Penguin?
Midnight: Looking for a new friend, Templars seemed cool
What was your motivation behind allying with the Dark Warriors?
Zez: Dark Warriors are good friends of Templars, so are we good friends with Dark Warriors, this was the motive behind allying with DW
How do you think this alliance will affect your army?
Midnight: I think this alliance will affect us positively. I think we’ve been pretty isolated since we returned. We have no other allies at the moment. Building relations with another army is good as we can assist one another.
Zez: I think with a good ally we could work together and accomplish many things.
Do you plan on hosting any combined events in the near future?
Midnight: There’s a possibility, sounds fun
Zez: Probably, the future will decide that.

Both armies are certainly pleased with this alliance, and likely hope for more adventures together. Due to both armies having the ability to grow quickly and put on spectacles, this alliance will certainly be consequential in the community.
